Effects of Exenatide in Overweight Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Role of Exenatide in Human Ovarian Regulation
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common reproductive disorder of women. It is characterized by hirsutism, menstrual dysfunction, infertility, elevated androgen levels, and insulin resistance. The syndrome can be treated by life-style modifications (weight loss), insulin sensitizers as well as by other approaches. It is hypothesized that PCOS patients treated with exenatide will demonstrate significant clinical and biochemical improvement.
