    The Education for All by 2015The Education for All by

    2015 As President Benigno S. Aquino III puts education as the

    top priority in the next six years, DepEd is set to scale

    up basic education performance to ensure that allschool-aged children are in school by 2015.

    To move closer towards hitting the 2015 MillenniumDevelopment Goal (MDG) targets, the Department ofEducation (DepEd) intends to undertake a ground

    mapping of all six-year-old children by way of pre-registration all over the country which was implementedlast January 2011

    As President Benigno S. Aquino III puts education as thetop priority in the next six years, DepEd is set to scale

    This goal places the emphasis on thelearning needs of young people and adultsin the context of lifelong learning

    This goal calls for a certain level of improvement in adultliteracy by 2015 it says that it should be 50 per centbetter than it was in 2000

    How to implement the K+12 program?How to implement the K+12 program?

    DepEd proposal is the K-6-4-2 Model.

    This model involves

    Kindergarten, six years of elementary education, four years of junior high school

    (Grades 7 to 10) and two years of senior high

    school (Grades 11 to 12). The two years of senior high

    school intend to provide time for students to consolidate

    acquired academic skills and competencies.
