Kindergarten
Lowest level for children from 2 6 years old
When children reach the age of from 2-6 years old,
their parents can take them to the kindergarten. In thiskind of
school, children are taught some basic skills to
improve themselves before they go to primary schools.
Children have to be in school haft day, from 7h30 am
to 17h30 pm.
Depending on each familys conditions, children may
have or not a summer holiday each year.

Primary School
When children are 6 year-old enough, they can start the 1st
form of primary school.
Children are instructed to get accustomed with basic social and
natural
sciences. Each school year is divided into two terms. At the end
of eachterm, children have an examination. At the end of school
year, children
have to take a final exam. If they pass the final exam, they
naturally
enter the next forms.
In some schools, children only have to study at schools in the
morning
or in the afternoon. But some private schools, pupils ha
ve to stay atschools haft of a day. Their parents have to pay
for their lunches.
Learning fee for this level is not much. However, in some poor
families,
parents can not afford to take their children to schools. The
local
governments have to subsidize or schools have to remit these
families to
ensure that children have to be taught in schools.

Secondary School
When children finish 5th forms in the primary schooland pass the
graduated - primary level exam, they canstart the 1st form of
secondary school.
Pupils learn to study social and natural sciences. Theyhave to
solve some more complex issues. Like theschool year in primary
levels, there are two terms eachyear in secondary schools.
Children, who pass all theexaminations, they can start the next
form.
In most secondary schools, pupils only have to study atschools
in the morning or in the afternoon.
Pupils finish this level have two choices: they cancontinue to
study in high schools or they can go tovocational schools to learn
a trade. Many vocationalschools accept pupils who have finished
secondarylevel.

High school
Pupils, from 15 years old, who have finished
secondary schools may have to take part in a final
exam and an entrance exam before getting
admission to study in high schools. Pupils have to spend 3 years
to finish high school
before going to a university or a college.
In high school, pupils are taught some specialized
knowledge. hen they finish this level, they may
have some skills to start their work independently orthey can
take part in university entrance exams to
continue their studying careers.

University/College
Pupils, from 18 years old, who have finished high schools may
have totake part in an entrance exam to get admission to study in
universitiesor colleges. This entrance exam is so difficult for
many pupils thatthere are few ones pass this exam to continue to
study in a university.
Students have to spend 3 - 6 years to finish university/ college
(3-4
years for social sciences and 4-6 years for engineering,
technique,
natural sciences or medicine). They have to get accustomed with
self-
study.
In university/college, students are equipped some specialized
knowledge.
When they finish this level, they can have some skills to
perform some
specialized tasks.

Postgraduate Education
Most students want to find a job after graduation. Some others
can
study to get master or doctorate degree.
Most people who choose to continue to study after graduating
from a
university are working in field involving in research. Some
otherpeople want to study deeply one speciality.
Postgraduates have to study some specialized subjects and then
they
have to finish a thesis and present at national- level evaluated
council.
Some people who are good at English can choose to study
abroad.
According to Vietnam Ministry of Education, from 2015, only
peoplewho have finished doctorate level can become a professor in
a
university.
