The concept behind the design is based on the inspiration of the
organic shapes found in the lace and the strong materiality that
gives the creation to this organic patterns. The nut is the
fundametal element that supports the machine that gives and creates
the organic shape. 01
The concept behind the design is the inspiration on the four
elements (re, water,earth and air) that are the fundamental bases
of our planet. We don't only feel them around us, but most
certainly can express themselves in many ways within nature itself.
Each piece of furniture is designed with an attractive and
delightful organic shape that can be found in nature, each piece is
a compilation for each element. Fire is always by our side to
provide warmth and protection, earth provides beauty, equilibrium
and ccrop production, air too keeps us alive and puries the
environment, water cleans, puries and covers 70 percent of the
earth. Equilibrium is represented through the design itself, as the
four pieces integrate as a puzzle to end up with a single piece.
The main piece gives place to a bench simulating the earth
providing the equilibrium within the person, the foot rest stool as
air because it can be interpreted as a method of relaxation, the
side table as re because a lamp can be placed on it and nally a
large standard table that surrounds the earth. Each piece of
furniture is integratedwith a thick piece of glass that works as
supports of the same piece and shines the ligshines the light of
each element.
