I’m a 2nd year Product Design Engineering student

at Brunel University with a background in maths and

languages. I spend a great deal of my time volunteering

and have ran a successful national campaign to help raise

awareness and support young sufferers of trichotillomania.

I am independent, hard working and curious about

everything. There is nothing I like more than dissecting

products and packaging to see how it was assembled.

My design style is elegant and minimalistic with subtle

accent features.

Hello,

Fixperts Project

A group project in which we worked with real life companies in order

to design a solution to a problem they had. Our group worked with

Uxbridge Flower Station to help create an easier and more

efficient way to create even box pleats in a ribbon, as shown in the

Storyboard on the next slide.

This is the final Fixperts product with the addition of a

ribbon holder, feet and an increased length, as requested

by Uxbridge Flower Stall, making it closer to 1.2m. They

were pleased with the final product and the experience with

working with an external client was extremely successful.

Luminaire Projecttp24 sponsered this project, the objection of which

being to design and model either a task light or

a room light using one of the LED bulbs provided by tp24.

I chose to design a task light and focused on

multifunctional lamps following the chrome

and glass theme of the tp24 light range.

This page shows my initial ideation, inspiration

and research and the following page shows the

development of my chosen design.

Paper Workz

The shape partners are slotted into the device to emboss or bevel the desired shape. Each insert pair is a different colour to make it easier to locate the correct pieces.

To easily apply pressure to the paper the child can use the handle to pull the roller across the closed device.

To use the paper is inserted into the device, it is then closed and the handle is pulled across to press the shapes into the paper. The handle is then pulled back again so the paper can be removed.

While the device isn’t in use the handle holds the device in the closed position.

The unused inserts and creations can be stored in the draw shown below.

Integrated Knowledge BriefWorking closely with Bosch we were given the brief to design a sub brand for a specialist garden tool

and decided to focus on arthritus friendly tools.

I chose to design a garden stool to aid users to

kneel and stand without difficulty and joint pain.

This stool aims to reduce the effort and difficulty required by gardeners with arthritis,

joint pain or back pain to kneel down to garden. The padded seat cushions the knee joints

while kneeling and the adjustable seat allows the user to sit or kneel while gardening. I

analysed the stress and deformation of the seat on the program ANSYS and this seat has a

safety factor of 15 when a load of 600 N is applied and a maximum von mises equivalent stress of 1.6629 MPa, as shown in the analysis image.

Below is the general arangement drawing of the final design for my garden stool complete

with dimensions.
