Background
Rural sector consumes 40-45% of the volume of water that are removed from water sources to meet the needs of the population and industries, or 35-40% of water used in Ukraine.
Water quality is the limited factor for other agricultural production areas as watering animals, cleaning of dairy equipment, food preparation, hydro cleaning, hygiene and household needs of staff.
Low water quality affects cattle, causing illness, reducing the weight gain of animals and quality of livestock products.
Watering and irrigation, especially drip one, are the keys to successful economic entity on earth. Low water quality can affect irrigated crops and soils due to:
• Accumulation of salts in the root system;• Decrease the soil fertility;• Migration of pathogenic organisms or contaminants (for example, Shigella, Lamblia)
Object of research
Local water sources in Kyiv and Cherkasy region, which are used for drinking, household water supply and in agricultural production

ConclusionsWater supply of the Ukrainian small communities of agrarian territories,
carried out mostly from the local sources. Costumers haven’t any
information about water quality.
In general, local sources are ecologically and epidemiologically dangerous because
of high anthropogenic pollution groundwater and unsatisfactory sanitary
and epidemiological control.
Detected additives are exceeding the guidelines for drinking and for
agricultural use (irrigation, livestock, poultry drinkings).
