ABOUT WORKSHOP
A 5 days workshop on Applied Economics is planned to be held at
School of Economics, Quaid-i-
Azam University, Islamabad from June 24, 2014 to June 28, 2014.
In this workshop, experts in variousfields are going to teach how
to use softwares for data analysis in Economics and Management
Sci-ences. This will be the third workshop among the series. The
use of these softwares is increasing day
by day in qualitative as well is in quantitative research. So a
better understanding to these softwareswill enable researchers to
conduct a research of good quality.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
Main objectives of organizing a 3 Days Workshop on Software for
Economics Research are as under:
To introduce statistical tools available in various softwares.
To introduce softwares that can help students and researchers for
conducting research.
To introduce new techniques/ available in various softwares.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The target participants of the workshop are the faculty members,
PhD and MPhil students, and re-searchers at various institutes, who
have to use software to teach or to conduct research at various
lev-
els. PhD and MPhil students are highly encouraged to attend the
workshop for better understandingabout the softwares.

submitting the form is 10-6-2014.The available seats are lim-
ited, so privilege will be given to candidates who will apply
first.
