Embedded Data Logger
The BeanDevice® SUN integrates an embedded Data Logger, which can be used to log data when a Wireless
Sensor Networks can not be easily deployed on your site. All the data acquisi on are stored on the
embedded ash and then transmi ed to the BeanGateway® when a Wireless Sensor Networks is
established. The DataLogger feature is compa ble with all the data acquisi on mode available on yourBeanDevice® SUN :
LowDutyCycle Data Acquisi on
Alarm
Survey
Example : Measuring light in a room
The BeanDevice® SUN is con gured with its
dataLogger feature once light is detected. Astandalone installa on of the BeanDevice®
SUN will be done inside a room, labarotaryor any other place, without the necessityto be connected to the BeanGateway®.
Light is measured based on the data acquisi-
on me assigned by the user and all thedata acquisi on are logged on to the em-bedded ash.
When needed a technician working on the
site can send a request for a log transmis-sion. Then the BeanDevice® SUN starts sen-
ding all its logs . If all the logs are sucessfullytransmi ed to the BeanGateway®, the ashmemory is erased and new logs will berecorded .

Remote con gura on and monitoring
*Over -the - Air Con gura on
OTAC*
The BeanScape® applica on allows the
user to view all the data transmi ed by
the BeanDevice® SUN
With the OTAC (Over - the - Air
con gura on) feature, the user can
remotely con gure theBeanDevice® SUN
Several data acquisi on modes are available on the
BeanDevice® SUN :
Low Duty Cycle Data Acquisi on mode (LDCDA) : the data
acquisi on is immediately transmi ed by radio. The
transmission frequency can be con gured from 1s to 24h.
Alarm Mode : the measured value is transmi ed by radio
whenever an alarm threshold ( xed by the user) is
detected (4 alarm threshold levels High/Low).
Survey Mode : operates like the Alarm mode but the
device sends frequently a beacon frame informing itscurrent status.
Math Mode : Values such as the mean value, minimum
value, maximum value and standard devia on are
calculated on sample me series and transmi ed by ra-
dio .
