North East Eco-connections

Are you providing ecotherapy or similar environmental activities that boost mental wellbeing?

Want to network with similar projects in the North East?

Need to understand how the new health commissioning process works?

If you can answer yes to above questions then we want you to join our networking event on 18 September.

This is a free opportunity to meet others who are delivering – or want to deliver – ecotherapy-style services.

Through our lottery-funded Ecominds scheme, Mind has funded 130 environmental projects across England over the past three years that benefit people’s mental and physical health.

As our scheme draws to a close in 2013 the sector is facing even greater competition for funding. At the same time a revolution is taking place in local health commissioning. This means that the need to share learning and consider radical adaptations to services has never been greater.

Who should attend? Ecominds grant holders. Green Gyms and care farms. City farms and community

gardens. Horticultural therapy schemes. Environmental volunteering

projects. Organisations working to improve

mental health and the environment.
