Respect Responsibility Safety
Welcome back, I hope you all enjoyed a restful 2 weeks break and are ready for another term. This week is a little disjointed, with having Thursday off, but the stu-dents have all settled well this morning and are excited to see their friends.
I would like to thank the Parents and Friends for a wonderful end of term BBQ and Colour Fun Run. I’m not sure if the students or teachers had the most fun on the day, but it was great seeing everyone get into the spirit. We are still finalising money and prizes. We hope to have this completed ASAP, allowing prizes to get here very quickly.
Also in the final week of last term, we held our Parent / Teacher interviews. It was wonderful seeing so many parents take up this opportunity to chat to their child’s teacher. If you were unable to attend, and still wish to chat to the teachers, please contact the school to make arrangements. There will not be Parent / Teacher interviews at the end of Term 2.
This term we will be welcoming back Miss C, who is now Mrs C. Alicia has been on family leave and will be returning on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. She will be taking over the teaching of our STEM program. Already she has some great learning activities planned and ready, with the introduction of robotics, coding and technology/design. We have spent our $10,000 Commonwealth Bank grant, which we received last year, on a wide range of new and engaging resources and we can’t wait to get them out of the boxes and into the hands of the students.
Tonight at 7.00pm, I will be presenting the Annual Report to the School Community. This report is presented to School Council but all parents are welcome to attend. This report outlines the schools current performance when compared to other schools and also celebrates the successes we have had. This meeting will run for approximately 45 minutes. Alternatively, if you would like a copy of this report,
ANZAC MARCH - THURSDAYAT 10.00am
We would like to invite all students and their families to join us in the Beaufort ANZAC Day
March, meeting at the RSL Hall at 10.00am
The march will commence at 10.15am and we will walk behind our school banner, carried by
our Grade 6 leaders. Students are asked to wear correct full school uniform.
We understand that there are some students who march with other organisations,
and this is completely fine too.
Over the school holidays, we spent a day painting 3 of the 4 race track designs, ready for the students to play with.
We still have one track to complete, but so far they are looking pretty good.
after it has been endorsed, please contact the school and we can provide you with one.
Next Wednesday, students in grades 3 to 6 will be taking part in the School Cross Country. This will take place in the first 2 hours of the day, around the Beaufort Lake. Students who make the qualifying times may then be selected for the District event the following Wednesday .
