St. John is a Community ChurchSt. John congregation is established to honor the Lord in worship and practice. The model Jesus set was a lifestyle of engagement in the lives of all people. Jesus had as many conversations with irreligious people as well as religious, with gentiles and with Jews alike. Jesus’ priorities demonstrated all people were equally worthy of His time and attention. As a Community Church, we are committed to the same spirit of acceptance and service. Our facilities, our worship services and our ministries are inclusive of all people regardless of race, faith or social status. Everyone is welcome here.

At the same time, being a Community Church does not mean our values and beliefs are determined by the culture. They are not. We are unashamedly a biblically conservative church. We believe the Lord is honored when our work helps people come to the knowledge of the truth that is able to free our lives from sin and guide us to the truth taught in His word. If you want to investigate who we are, and how to become a Christian member of this congregation, we encourage you to attend a “Getting Started” gathering for an overview of our values and beliefs.

From adults who have experienced their relationship with God deepen to kids who are excited to tell their friends how awesome God is, your stories have been encouraging and uplifting.

We are also excited to tell you we surpassed our budget goal for the year and are starting 2015 ahead of our giving budget. By giving back financially to God in this place, you are making a difference in things that matter.

We have seen 2014 bring us an increase in baptisms, a surge in the number of students our Middle School and High School Ministry is impacting, and incredible strides through our mission work in places like College Hill and Cambodia. But, as exciting as 2014 was, we know God has incredible plans for St. John in 2015. We can’t wait to see how He will use each of us to impact our world in the coming year!
