INTRODUCTION:
The following itinerary explores the richest vein of biodiversity in the heart of India, spending
nights at upscale lodges that are now available for the first time, in India, for the select traveler.
The wildlife of Central India one of India and the world’s most densely forested regions,
attracts a large number of wildlife enthusiasts, researchers, and ornithologists from different
parts of the world. Wildlife in Central India includes the Royal Bengaltiger, the asiatic
leopard, the caracal or desert cat, langur and rhesus monkey, the chital or spotted
deer, nilgai or the blue bull, the sambharstag, and the Gaur or Indian bison. Also
included are adiverse species of birdlife. These wildlife sanctuaries in the heart of India’s
Kipling country offer visitorsan opportunity of discovering the rich and varied flora and fauna of
India’s middle animal kingdom. The famous albino or white tigers also came from Central India.
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is a Tiger reserves in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state
in central India. It is notable as Maharashtra's oldest and largest National Park. It is one of India's
41 "Project Tiger" - Tiger reserves. Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve was established as second
Tiger Reserve in the Maharashtra State, in 1994-95. Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve area
constitutes a unique ecosystem, comprising, wide variety of flora and fauna including diverse and
rich avi-fauna with unique natural scenic beauty. Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is a popular
tourist destination in India. There is significant increase in tourist’s inflow during the recent years.
Positioned in the southern reaches of the Satpura range, Pench National Park is divided by
river Pench into practically two equal parts. This rich expanse is an abode to over 286 local and
migratory birds and king of Indian forests - the Royal Bengal Tiger. Pench National Park, with its
royal tigers and a number of other wild animals and birds, will reinstate the excitement you used
to have, while seeing ‘Mowgli battle Sher Khan’ in the world famous serial The Jungle Book. The
wildlife park is well-liked especially for its beautiful landscape and thrilling night safaris.
Kanha National Park is also famous for its Tigers and some of the world’s most renowned
big cat experts have conducted their research work here. It is also home to an endangered
herd of Barasinghas or Swamp Deer
Thus, the wildlife sanctuaries of Central India offer various exploring opportunities including
wildlife tours and expedition giving a rewarding experience to all the wildlife enthusiasts.
Kanha National Park and Tiger Reserve is the largest protected area in central India. Tracts of
Kanha have been a wildlife sanctuary since 1933. In 1955, 318 sq km was declared a National
Park and in 1973, 940 sq kms became one of India’s original nine Project Tiger Reserves. Kanha
was expanded in 1976 - the National Park now has a core area of 940 sq km and a buffer zone of
1,009 sq km.
Kanha is situated in the Maikal hills, in the Satpura range of the central Indian highlands, in the
State of Madhya Pradesh (22° 17'N, 80° 38'E). The land rises from 450 to 950 metres above sea
level, and is drained by tributaries of the Narmada River. There are four main vegetation types -
moist deciduous forest, dry deciduous forest, valley meadow, and dadar meadow. The moist
deciduous forest, which covers 27% of the Park area, is dominated by sal trees. The forest is
interspersed with grassy meadows, the result of early slash-and-burn cultivation by Baigatribals.

Bandhavgarh National Park located in Madhya Pradesh is one of the best and most
picturesque tiger reserves of India. Set in the picturesque surroundings of the eastern edge of
the Satpura and Vindhya hill ranges, Bandhavgarh National Park is famous for its Tiger
population. Other significant species include the dhole or wild dog which hunts in packs and
which even the tiger fears, sloth bear, leopard, rhesus macaques, sambar, chital,
chausingha, the 4-horned antelope among others. Bandavgarh is also home to a sizable
population of reptiles and birds.
THE ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival Mumbai:
Arrive Mumbai by flight #... at …, transfers to hotel for overnight (Check In time: 1200
noon)
Overnight will be at Mumbai.
Day 02: Mumbai – Nagpur – Tadoba National Park:
After breakfast transfer to Mumbai Airport to board flight for Nagpur. Reach Nagpur and drive
towards Tadoba National Park.
Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Relax in the evening. Overnight will be at Tadoba.
Day 03: Tadoba:
Morning Park round and afternoon park safaris…
The Tadoba National Park is divided into three separate forest ranges, i.e. Tadoba north range,
Kolsa south range, and Morhurli range, which is sandwiched in between the first two. There are
two lakes and one river in the park, which gets filled every monsoon, the ‘Tadoba Lake,’ ‘Kolsa

Lake,’ and ‘Tadoba River.’ These lakes and rivers provide vital ingredients needed to sustain the
park’s life.
The Tadoba Tiger Reserve is rich in flora and fauna. Some of the famous and wildly seen flora of
this park include, Teak, Ain, Bija, Dhauda, Hald, Salai, Semal, Tendu, Beheda, Hirda, Karaya
gum, Mahua Madhuca, Arjun, Bamboo, Bheria, Black Plum, and many others. Apart from this the
list of animals noted in this part include, Tigers, Indian leopards, Sloth bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Dhole,
Striped Hyena, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cats, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Chital,
Marsh Crocodile, Indian Python, Indian Cobra, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle,
Peacock, Jewel Beetles, Wolf Spiders, etc.
Overnight will be at Tadoba.
Day 04: Tadoba – Pench:
After breakfast drive to Pench, Reach Pench and relax in the evening.
In the heart of India, Madhya Pradesh, Pench National Park is located in the districts of Seoni and
Chhindwara. Named after the pristine River Pence which flows through the park, Pench National
Park is one of the most popular wildlife reserves in India. The park also has its mention in the
famous story of 1894, ‘The Jungle Book’, penned down by the renowned English Author Rudyard
Kipling. The story was worldwide applauded, and hence, the national park became one of the
popular national parks in the world in the 1970s and also a prominent tourist attraction in India.
Since then, every year oodles of wildlife buffs flock to this place just to spot the famous
characters of the book, Akela (The Indian Wolf), Raksha (the female Wolf), Baloo (Sloth Bear),
and the vicious Shere Khan (Royal Bengal Tiger).
Overnight will be at Pench.
Day 05: Pench
Morning and afternoon Park rounds to try and spot and photograph the TIGERS…
Sprawls over a massive area of 758 sq km, including the core area, Pench National Park has a
rich wildlife which proffers visitors an opportunity to indulge into one of the finest wildlife
experiences in India. Since its inception in 1965 as a wildlife sanctuary, the park has serving as
the cosy nest of numerous wild creatures including the Royal Bengal tiger, jackal, peafowl, wild
dog, wild boar, sloth bear, Indian leopard, fox, striped hyena, monkey, gaur, barking deer, four-
horned antelope, Indian wolf, and more such enthralling species.

Day 06: Pench – Kanha
After breakfast drive towards Kanha National Park. Reach Kanha and relax
Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Relax in the evening. Overnight will be at Kanha.
Day 07: Kanha:
Morning Park round and afternoon park safaris…
The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha provided inspiration to
Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel "Jungle Book". The Kanha National Park in Madhya
Pradesh came into being in 1955 and forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, created in
1974 under Project Tiger. The Park's landmark achievement is the preservation of the rare hard
ground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), saving it from near extinction.
Overnight will be at Kanha.

Day 08: Kanha-Bandhavgarh
After breakfast drive to Bandhavgarh (265km, 5hrs). Reach Bandhavgarh and proceed for
afternoon Park round.
The wildlife of the Bandhavgarh National Park is perhaps the most fascinating in all of Central
India. The Park is known for the various species of wild creatures and is best known for the
preservation of the tiger. The abundance of tiger in Bandhavgarh has driven many animal lovers
in this amphitheater of wildlife especially tiger.
Overnight will be at Bandhavgarh.
Day 09: Bandhavgarh
Morning and afternoon Park rounds to try and spot and photograph the TIGERS…
The forests of Bandhavgarh are the white tiger jungles of the yesteryears. However, no white
tigers have been reported from the wild in the last 50 years, and it is believed that less than a
dozen have been seen in India in about a hundred years. And yet when white tigers were sighted,
it was right here in Bandhavgarh.
Overnight will be at Bandhavgarh.

Day 10: Bandhavgarh – Jabalpur - Delhi
After breakfast drive towards Jabalpur airport to board flight towards home with sweet memories
of India.
