We love a good dinner party at Drake – our spaces and menus reflect that! Whether it’s a post-wedding brunch, corporate lunch or dinner out with friends, we’re here to act as your ‘home away from home’ to mark the occasion! We offer a range of coursed + family-style meals at a variety of price points to guarantee prime seating to your group that allow for a not-so-formal, formal celebration. In order to allow us to best serve groups we require the use of one of our seasonally driven set menus for groups of 9+ looking to spend some quality time with Drake!

A cozy nook on our all-season Sky Yard perfect for smaller groups, our East Wall tables are the ideal starting point for a memorable night with Drake. This climate defiant section offers the group shelter in case of inclement weather alongside a great vantage point to people watch while you’re waiting for the next course. Want to know the secret behind the cocktail you’re sipping on? Lean over and ask our friendly bar staff – they don’t bite!

SKY YARD TUNNELHead count: 9-25

Warm all year long, the Sky Yard Tunnel is our all-season dining space for fans of the outdoors. Tucked under the covered overhang (and walled in during the colder months) our Sky Yard Tunnel is the perfect spot to host group brunches or dinners. The perfect space for our urban sun-soaker (or stargazer) this section affords you the option of few steps to travel to pony up to the bar to watch our famous mixologists shake, stir and strain the cocktails that we’re famous for!

NORTH LOUNGEHead count: 9-18

Our famous dining space, the North Lounge is the perfect mix of booth and banquet seating the space offering an intimate setting just a stone’s throw away from the South Lounge and Sky Yard. What to do once you are finished dessert? Sashay on over to the dance floor and show us your best moves! Looking to host a group of 40+ guests? Ask about securing the space as a semi-private ‘home-base’ for the evening!

BOOK IT.Like what you see? Things move quickly at The Drake, so we recommend you book at your earliest convenience to guarantee space. For groups of 9 guests or more, we just require the selection of one our offering seasonal set menus and credit card details! No charges will be made to this card – it’s simply needed to guarantee your group has the space.

WHERE TO HOST YOUR PARTY:

CAFÉ BISTROHead count: 20-30

Just a stone’s throw away from the heart of the activity the Drake Café is a mainstay for those guests looking for a quaint environment to kick off the evening’s festivities. With the ability to seat up to 30 guests for dinner it’s the perfect starting point for an evening with Drake! Want the space all to yourselves? Ask your coordinator about the availability to book our Café Bistro privately to allow for cocktail space before and after dinner!

**SPACE IS NOT BOOKABLE FOR DAYTIME

ROOM 222Head count: 6-16

If you’re looking to increase your hosting status with a little privacy, try our Private Dining Room 222. The space can seat 8-16 guests for private plated + family-style meals. Sip on some champagne and nosh on a few passed bites before being seated for dinner within the intimate space. If you’re joining us to celebrate a birthday, watch the big game, or for a corporate function, be sure to ask your coordinator about include a tech package to give you access to the large flat screen that is built into the space! If the adjacent Sky Yard is open for regular business on the evening of your booking we encourage you to check out the venue over the course of the night!

DRAKE HOTEL FAQ

DO I GET TO PICK THE SPACE FOR MY RESERVATION?

Yes – depending on your desired date and time as some zones are not bookable for certain day parts. Our Special Events department can suggest the most suitable zone for your event given the group size + space availability.

HOW MUCH ARE THE PRIX FIXE MENUS?

We’re constantly executing menu flips to reflect seasonal offerings. Talk to your coordinator for the most current menu offerings.

DO I NEED TO ORDER FROM A PRIX-FIXE MENU?

Yes – for groups of 9 guests or more we require the use of one of our seasonally driven prix-fixe menus. These menus guarantee that we’re able to serve your group (and our other lovely dining guests) in a timely fashion while maintaining the quality of service and product that we’re famous for.

DOES EVERYONE IN MY GROUP NEED TO BE ONTHE SAME MENU?

Yes. We need you to select ONE of the prix fixe menus for your entire group to keep things running smoothly.

I LOVE THE MENU – WILL IT BE OFFERED EXACTLYAS I SEE IT?

As we pride ourselves on sourcing local and sustainable product where possible we do make changes to our menus seasonally to ensure that we’re up to date. That being said, your coordinator will let you know well in advance if there are any impending changes to your menu for the big day. I mean, could you imagine being served gazpacho in November?!

CAN I BRING IN AN OUTSIDE CAKE?

Gosh, we love mom’s home-made chocolate cake as much as the next person, with that said we bake our own offerings in house and as a result we charge a cutting and plating fee of $2.50 per person for outside product.

I’LL BRING CUPCAKES INSTEAD…

Mmm cupcakes – same rules apply for cupcakes as for cakes. I mean, they’re just smaller cakes no?

THERE ARE MANY GUESTS IN MY GROUP WITH ALLERGIES AND DIETARY RESTRICTIONS. CAN YOU GUYS ACCOMMODATE?

Our culinary team strives to accommodate all allergies and dietary restrictions. We would ask that you let us know exactly what these are, and we can give our team enough time to prepare for these restrictions. With that said, as the food we procure comes from outside channels we can never fully guarantee that offerings have not come into contact with contaminants before their final stop at our Drake kitchen.

CAN MY GUESTS PAY SEPARATELY?

Due to the large size of your group, we are not able to track individual guest bills. Should your guests wish to make individual contributions to the master bill we ask that you collect them and pay the bill as a whole. To save time we suggest that you advise guests to bring cash for a speedy payment process!

WHAT ABOUT TAX + GRATUITY?

All food + beverage and minimum spends that are quoted and listed on our menus are priced before tax and gratuity. For all large groups, we add an 18% gratuity and 13% tax.

I DON’T WANT ANY FOOD, CAN I JOIN JUST FOR DRINKS?

Of course, just know that access to our spaces will be on a first-come first-in basis. Seating is reserved for those looking to join us for dinner or pre-arranged cocktail parties. For groups of up to 20 guests we offer our famous DRINK WELL reservations which offer guests the ability to secure space for the evening with a curated cocktail experience where your guests learn from our Hospitality Specialists the secret to mixing the perfect Manhattan (or other classic cocktail).

I HAVE FRIENDS JOINING FOR DRINKSAFTERWARDS – CAN THEY JOIN US AT OUR TABLE?

The reservation booked is for dinner only and the space does not allow for guests to join at the table. We typically suggest meeting your guests in the Lounge/Sky Yard after dinner but please be aware that spaces are subject to capacity, we do not allow up and down privileges. On Fridays + Saturdays (and some long weekends) we start charging $10 cover as of 10PM – even the Queen herself is subject to these rules!

DRAKE HOTEL FAQ CONTINUED...

IF I BOOKED DINNER, AM I SUBJECT TO COVER?

No way. Seeing as you’re our special guest for dinner you (and the members of your reservation) are not going to be asked to pay cover!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I BOOK MY TABLE?

For non-exclusive reservations, we offer up sections in our spaces ONE MONTH prior the function date. If you’re looking to secure a table now just ask your coordinator if your group is well suited to our Private Room 222 or our quaint Café Bistro for a private booking.

WHAT IF ALL OF MY GUESTS DON’T SHOW UP?

Planning a group dinner is no easy feat – we get that. With that said, for every guest that does not attend the event a $20 ‘no show’ fee will be added to the final bill for the end of the evening. We will follow up with you 48 hours prior to your reservation to confirm numbers.

We also guarantee a 15-minute grace period upon guest arrival. If your group arrives after this time, your tables may be released to guests on our waitlist.

UGH – I NEED TO CANCEL. WHAT NOW?

Should you need to cancel your reservation, we just need to know. Please be mindful that we’ve likely turned away reservations so the more notice you can give us the better chance we have of filling your spot.

CAN WE HAVE DECORATIONS PLEASE?!

As our spaces are fairly curated in art + design we allow for decorations but ask that they be modest to complement our aesthetic. We love balloons too, that’s why we allow you to bring up to 3 for the guest of honor! In addition to balloons we allow for tasteful bud vases with flowers to adorn your table space. Please note that signage, noisemakers and confetti/glitter are prohibited. Get the opinion of your coordinator ahead of time to make sure that your décor falls in line with our requirements to avoid night of disappointment!

IS THERE A DRESS CODE AT THE DRAKE?

At Drake we consider ourselves to be a come as you are venue and do not enforce a specific dress code. With that said we’d suggest dressing with some personal flair and saving the flip flops, sports jerseys and casual looks for Sunday morning brunch as they may not be suitable for evening service!

WHAT KIND OF ENTERTAINMENT CAN WEEXPECT?

We’re known for our entertainment/live music and have a mix of Music programming + events throughout the week! Take a peek at our website and head over to the Music + Happenings section. Updated weekly, you’ll be able to see where to be + who to see!

DO WE GET A DEAL ON HOTEL ROOMS IF I BOOKAN EVENT?

As we only have 19 rooms in-house we are not able to offer discounts on our boutique inventory. That being said there is a discount on the Owner’s Suite for your special day should you choose to host your wedding with Drake (wink wink)!

LET’S DO THIS – WHAT ARE NEXT STEPS?

For non-exclusive dining reservations we simply require the selection of a menu and credit card information to be held on file. Due to the high volume of inquiries receive we cannot guarantee space will be available until this step has been completed and you’ve received your confirmation letter.
