Saturday, attend the Door of the Guru and learn how to be in sweet relationship with the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. We will learn how to ask the Guru for guidance with Ardas & Hukam. We will know the joy of seva. We will learn the devotional technology surrounding reading, understanding, and singing precious words of this beloved source of strenth. We will gain the understanding needed to care for the Guru in our homes if we so wish. At Solstices, Siri Sevak Kaur teaches regular classes, all in the vein of bringing people along in their interest in Sikh Dharma. She is also a KRI-certified Professional Trainer Level 1 and 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainings. Her own immersion in Gurbani Kirtan and in the caring and sharing of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, bring joy and beauty to all who resonate with this path.      March  4,  Sadhana  is  again  at  4  am.    The  Akhand  Path  continues.        Friday  night  is  “First  Friday  Gurdwara.”    You  will  hear  a  beautiful  recitation  of  Rehiras  Sahib,  the  evening  prayer,  starting    at  7  pm,  followed  by  kirtan,  ardas,  hukam  and  langar  at  approximately  9:30  pm.      

       There’s  an  opportunity  for  langar  seva  (cooking  in  the  kitchen)  and  also  an  opportunity  for  learning  kirtan.

9:30-­‐10:45  a.m.  -­‐  how  to  do  the  Ardas. A  pronunciation  and  reading  class  on  the  beginning  of  the  Ardas  which  was  written  by  Guru  Gobind  Singh  Ji The  Ardas  is  the  collective  Sikh  prayer  which  is  a  part  of  every  Sikh  service  and  is  also  done  individually  to  express  the  prayer  of  the  heart.  

11:00  a.m.-­‐12:15  p.m..      -­‐  how  to  take  the  Hukam,  the  reading  from  the  Siri  Guru  Granth  Sahib  

12:30-­‐2:00  p.m.      –assist  with  langar  seva  and  enjoy  lunch  

2:00  -­‐2:30  p.m.    walk    or  nap

2:30-­‐  3:30  p.m        any  questions  about  having  the  Guru  in  your  home;  Sukhasan  and  Parkash  (waking  the  Guru  up  and  putting  the  Guru  to  bed);  or  any  other  questions

3:45-­‐5:00  p.m.          an  introduction  to  kirtan;    learning  to  sing  what  we  just  learned  to  pronounce

6:00  Langar  Dinner  open  to  all  in  the  class  and  for  all  in  support  of  the  Akhand  Path  

   March  6th:  7:30-­‐9:00  a.m.  the  Bhog  of  the  Akhand  Path  which  includes:    the  Sloks  of  the  9th  Guru,          five  pauris  of  Japji  Sahib,  Arti.    This  is  a  beautiful,  musical  conclusion  and  Gurdwara  service  

       9:15  a.m.    making  Prasad  or  preparing  the  Gurdwara  for  the  11:00  a.m.  service

10:15    a.m.  help  with  the  Prakash  of  the  Gurmukhi  Bir  and  learn  how  to  find  the  hukam  in  English 11:00-­‐12:30  p.m.    Gurdwara  followed  by  langar

2-­‐5  pm:  afternoon  workshop  with  Tej  Mohan  Singh:  Notorious  Devotees:  Ajamal,  Ganika,  Gaj,  and  the  Universal  Message  of  Siri  Guru  Granth  Sahib.
