This position is responsible for all aspects of securing funds in support of the Joslyn Art Museum’s annual operating budget from patron members, giving society members and annual fundraising event. The position is also responsible for overseeing the Joslyn Art Museum Association Guild and their related annual activities. Joslyn Art Museum Joslyn Art Museum collects, preserves, and interprets the visual arts of the highest quality, fostering appreciation and enjoyment of art for the benefit of a diverse audience. Founder Sarah Joslyn gave the Museum to Omaha for the purpose of serving the entire community as an educational and cultural resource. Decades later, the Museum's mission remains to provide people with access to original works of art and the intellectual and emotional stimulation and inspiration they provide. On May 25, 2013, the Museum went back to Sarah's original vision of granting free admission to the public year-round. Joslyn offers an important permanent collection of art from antiquity to the present, substantive exhibitions, educational outreach programs, and free community events. The Art Deco building and highly acclaimed addition, designed by world-renowned architect Sir Norman Foster, is a work of art itself. At the core of Joslyn's mission is a dedication to addressing the needs and interests of a general adult audience, PK-16 teachers and students, families, youth at-risk, and individuals with special needs, providing the public at all levels of learning with access to the visual arts. Recent new initiatives include the Museum’s elimination of its general admission fee, the announcement of a new family creativity center – Artworks: A Place for Curiosity, the Contemporary Artists Project gallery, and the acquisition of the Kent Bellows Studio as well as major building improvements. Major Duties 1. Create and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship plan (including personal visits) for current

and prospective Patron, Contemporary Art Society and Young Art Patron members. 2. Coordinate membership renewal process for Patron, Contemporary Art Society and Young Art Patron

(YAP) members by sending monthly membership renewal letters, payment reminders, acknowledgement letters, and making follow-up calls.

3. Assist Director of Development with the Board of Governors’ Membership Campaign to include all membership gifts (Patron and Contemporary Art Society).

4. Manage Contemporary Art Society programs including all society events and an annual dinner. 5. Coordinate all Patron member events including the annual appreciation event. 6. Assist the Director of Development with the Major Donor Dinner. 7. Generate membership reports and queries from Raisers Edge database. 8. Develop and manage the Patron, Contemporary Art Society, Young Art Patron, and JAMA annual

budgets. 9. Work closely with Development and Marketing teams to create and oversee production of all written

membership materials, relevant website pages, and newsletters. 10. Overseeing YAP social media marketing plan with YAP Committee. 11. Assist Director of Development with Board of Governor’s development committee meetings

preparation and follow-up. 12. Coordinate all JAMA events and meetings. This includes monthly JAMA board meetings, monthly

executive committee meetings/calls, annual luncheon, and additional events (lecture luncheon). Oversees all JAMA committee’s and internal communication with JAMA.

13. Responsible for JAMA annual Gala – including all external meetings, working with committee, corporate sponsorships, event logistics, and internal team management.

14. Coordinate and manage all YAP committee meetings, recruitment of YAP committee members, and all YAP events (Field Trip, Art Class, Art Crawl and GLOW).

15. Ensure all visitors to the Museum have a positive experience. Be knowledgeable about Museum activities, services and layout and be willing to assist any visitor.

16. Adhere to policies and procedures stated in the Employee Handbook. 17. Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications 1. 4-year college degree, preferably in non-profit management, fundraising, sales, and related topics. 2. Must have experience with database management, preferably Raisers Edge. 3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 4. Must be detail oriented and highly organized. 5. Must be flexible and able to balance multiple tasks. 6. Must be highly motivated, creative and able to work independently as well as in a team-based

environment. Preferred Qualifications 1. Membership, development, sales or events experience of at least 2-3 years is preferred. 2. Experience working with donors in a nonprofit setting. 3. Experience working in a team setting and multi-tasking.
