Don’t Miss an Opportunity to Talk to Specifiers CSI Salt Lake City 2011 Symposium & Tradeshow | February 16, 2011 Become a Sponsor or Reserve Your Booth Space Today! CSI Salt Lake City invites your company to exhibit at our annual CSI Symposium, which will be held February 16th, 2011 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. The Symposium is a full day of educational seminars with intermittent breaks for visiting exhibitor tabletops. This is your best opportunity to market your products to specifiers, architects, engineers, and building reps in Utah that are making choices about your products every day. Theme. The theme for this year’s Symposium is “Building Sciences for the Next Decade.” Education sessions will focus on architectural woodwork, structural engineering, fire code, air & water barriers, and building envelopes—the basic training architects and others must have in order to stay out of trouble. Door prizes, donated by exhibitors, will be given away before the final class session. Sponsorships. Interested in additional marketing opportunities at this Symposium? We have several sponsoring opportunities for your business. Sponsoring entities may place their signage and logos prominently at the locations or events they are sponsoring. Company logos will also appear on CSI directional signage as well. Include your brochures, product samples, and marketing items. The breakfast bar sponsor can provide pens and notepads to be used during class sessions. A SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS:

72011 Symposium & Tradeshow Exhibitor Information> Tabletop/Booth Assignments. Tabletops will not be assigned without prior payment. You may select up to three

(3) preferred booth locations (see chart) on your registration form. Booths are assigned by first paid, first served. While

we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your needs, we can’t guarantee your preferred booth location or separation from

a competing vendor. If you’ve sent payment but haven’t yet received your booth assignment (via email), please contact Alison

Anderson at [email protected] or (801) 355-5915 as soon as possible.

> Venue Policies. Please familiarize yourself with the Venue’s Policies and Procedures. A full guide is available for download

at www.csi-slc.org or www.culturalcelebration.org. Additional charges apply for audio/visual equipment, extra tables or chairs,

table skirting, linens, extension cords, podiums, special flooring, etc. Contact the facility directly if any of these items are needed.

> Helpers. Exhibitor registration includes attendance at education sessions and lunch for one person. Cost for additional

helpers at exhibits will be $15 per helper, which includes lunch. Please add them to your registration, or pay separately via the

Exhibitor Registration page. We need their information for the pre-printed lanyards.

> Generating Traffic For Your Booth. Exhibitors are strongly urged to personally invite at least 5 construction decision-

makers to this Symposium. These may be architects, specifiers, building managers, engineers, general contractors, building

owners, etc. This helps make the event more successful for everybody.

> Prizes for the Drawing. Exhibitors are encouraged to provide door prizes for the drawing. Attendees will be given a card

similar to the booth assignment chart, and will be required to get the signatures of every vendor to qualify for the drawing.

Donating cash or items to the drawing helps to assure that vendors are getting maximum exposure. If you have cash or

an item you’d like to donate, please attach your business card to the item and bring it with you. We will recognize donor

vendors and sponsors during the drawing, which will occur from 12:15 pm to 12:30 pm while lunch is being served. We highly

recommend that vendors be present at least through lunchtime. Bring donations with you when you register in the morning.

> Parking. Parking is free in the West lot.

> Booth Size. Booth size is approximately 8’ x 8’ and includes (1) 30” x 72” folding table and (1) chair. Table skirts will be

included. Only certain booths will have access to electricity, please select accordingly. There will be outlets along the East wall

and spider boxes in the center aisle and South wall. No electricity is available in the Crossroads area or North wall. Wireless

internet is available. Contact the facility at (801) 965-5100 or visit www.culturalcelebration.org for details.

> Attendee Contact List. We will provide a list of attendee contact information in Excel format to all exhibitors after the

event via email. We gather marketing data as well, but depends on how complete the attendee fills out their registration form.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS:

82011 Symposium & Tradeshow Exhibitor Information> Registration & Check-In Times: Registration and check-in will occur from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. We will have a separate table

for vendors to check-in, donate items to the drawing, and pickup their lanyards and name tags. We recommend arriving early to

avoid the rush. A breakfast bar will be available.

> Exhibition Times: Exhibition will take place from 10:45 am to 12:30 pm, then lunch will be served.

> Setup & Tear-Down Times: The UCCC will be open from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15th for setup, and

from 6:30 to 7:30 am on the day of the event. Attendees and exhibitors shall enter through the same main entrance, so it’s

important not to congest the entry way after 7:30 am. Special arrangements can be made for large items by contacting the

facility directly. Please do not setup or tear-down while classes are in session or when attendees are at break. The Great Hall will

be utilized until 1:45 pm, after which you are welcome to tear down your booth as long as it’s not disruptive to the classes in

session on the other end of the building. CSI has the venue until 3:30 pm, by which time your area should be returned to the

condition in which you found it. Please remove all trash. Additional charges may apply to areas left in poor condition.

> Questions? Contact our Industry Director, Jim Sheltmire at [email protected] or at 435-640-6219.

Expected Attendance and 2010 Symposium Statistics> Expected 2011 Symposium Attendance: This year we expect to have 150+ attendees. In 2010 we had a total of 139

registered attendees.

> Expected 2011 Symposium Flow Rate: Last year we had 3.5 Hours of total exhibition time. 127 registrants attended

the morning session of the tradeshow, and 117 registrants attended the afternoon session. The flow rate was somewhere

between 1.1 to 1.3 persons per minute.

Because the afternoon session had the

same individuals from the morning

session, in 2011 we’re eliminating the

afternoon session and having one 105

minute session (1 Hour 45 Minutes) for

an expected flow rate of 1.4 unique

individuals per minute.

> 2010 Symposium Exhibitors: Last

year we had 60 vendors in 32 booths

and 28 helpers.
