The celebrated Suzuki method uses the “mother-tongue” approach, modelled on the way infants acquire language; thus, listening, imitation, repetition, mastery of small steps, review and group sharing are central to instruction. The Suzuki “learning triangle” - student, parent, teacher - provides a supportive environment for nurturing the child’s innate musical ability. Children, ages 3-5, and at least one parent (“practice partner). Standard in the Suzuki approach is the presence of a parent, a participating practice partner, at all lessons. This course includes private lesson sessions in conjuncture with a group setting once a week.
