    Rajasthan - Rajputana earlier name is a land of royalty

    and heroic warriors.

    Rajasthan is the largest state in India. It is land locked

    and has borders with Punjab and Haryana, Uttar Pradesh

    and Madhya Pradesh in the East and Gujarat and

    Madhya Pradesh in the South.

    It has international border with Pakistan.

    Rajasthan is known for its colorful and vibrant lifestyle,

    with the numerous fairs and festivals that are organized

    here.

    Rajasthan is also a state which is rich in its amazing

    variety of traditional skills.

    Tonk is one of the well renowned Districts of Rajasthan.

    The City of Tonk is the Administrative Headquarters of the

    district.

    Nawabi Nagari 'Tonk' is famous not only in Rajasthan butalso all over India for its historical Importance.

    In 2006 the Ministry of Panchayati Raj named Tonk one

    of the country's 250 most backward districts and one of

    the twelve districts in Rajasthan currently receiving funds

    from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program

    (BRGF).

    Networking with the agencies like government dept.'s,

    agriculture universities , KVK ( krishi vigyan Kendra),

    Local NGOs other funding agencies.

    Capacitate the community about the knowledge about

    dealing with the issue of soil, water scarcity and using of

    appropriate seeds which consumes low water.

    Increase in the agri-productivity and thus in turn HH

    income

    It would also lead to distress migration.

    Increased alternative livelihood opportunities for the

    people.

    The reduction of migration & increase in income leads tocontinuity of education of the children.

    The increased income of the people will increase the

    purchasing power and lead to better life satisfaction.

    To increase the fertility of the soil for agricultural growth

    More employment generation to increase the livelihoodopportunities

    Reduce the migration and increases the overall economy

    of the district.

    The intervention activities which are mentioned below areto be started on pilot basis in Malpura, one of the 7 tehsils

    of Tonk which has a very low ground water availability.

    Networking with all resource based organizations: Water shed management

    Drip irrigation

    Recycling of waste water/ Waste water management

    We will try to collaborate with the agencies to identify the

    soli conditions by a field research and try to introduce an

    appropriate species which requires less water

    Capacitate people by increasing the knowledge

    Connect with government for water shed management.

    Approach agriculture university , KVK ( krishi vigyan

    Kendra) for drip irrigation Talk to NREGA people about recycling

    We will try to collaborate with the agencies to identify the

    soil conditions by a field research and try to introduce an

    appropriate species which gives more produce byconsuming less water.

    Capacitate the community about the knowledge about

    dealing with the issue of water scarcity.
