At the Last Supper Jesus gave us His Body and Blood as an everlasng memorial of what He has done for us in His Passion, Death and Resurrecon. Every me Mass is said we more than call to mind those events, we make them present. Jesus Christ is re- ally and truly present offering us all eternal life. The celebraon of Mass is at the heart of our Catholic Faith, not only does it help you and me grow, it also helps the Church to grow. The celebraon of Mass builds the community of the Church, we as its members benefit from that. Bishop Paul Swarbrick’s Return. This Sunday Bishop Paul will celebrate the 10.30am Mass at Our Lady and St Michael's. There will be NO 9.30am Mass at St Gregory’s. Aſter Mass there will be a presentaon to Bishop Paul followed by a buffet in the dining room of St Joseph’s School. It will be an opportunity for you to meet him and have photographs taken. As ever please keep Bishop Paul in your prayers - it goes without saying that in the months & years ahead he will probably have to make difficult and unpopular decisions therefore our prayer- ful support is essenal. First Holy Communion. On the weekend of 9/10 June, 33 children will be mak- ing their First Holy Communion at either St Gregory's, St Mary’s or Our Lady & St Michael’s. Please pray for the children and their families. It should be a joyful occasion, we hope that for many of the families it will be a chance to rediscover their faith. I am also sure you will make them all welcome over that weekend. Refreshments will be served aſter the services in St Gregory’s church, St Mary’s church hall and Banklands Hall. Corpus Christi - This weekend we celebrate this great feast. Baptism. Those wishing to have their children baptised are required to give 6 weeks notice. This will enable us to arrange the necessary preparation. A reminder that in order to be a Godparent the person must be a baptised Catholic and there has to be at least one Godparent for a baptism in the Catholic Church. If they are not Catholic they will be a witness. If a person is not baptised into any Christian denomination they cannot stand as a witness.

Sacrament of Reconciliation. 11-11:25 Saturdays OLSM, on request SG & SM.

Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament each Saturday morning will be dedicated to Vocations for the Priesthood, Diaconate, Religious and Consecrated Life.

Our Lady Untier of Knots Novena Mondays after 10am Mass in OLSM church.

Lectio Divina in the meeting room of SG each Wednesday after 12 noon Mass. (If Wednesday Mass is cancelled for whatever reason, Lectio Divina will be held after the 12 noon Mass on that Friday).

Adoremus. Books are available from each Piety Stall, £4.95

St Joseph’s School. Weekly school Mass each Thursday, 1.10pm in the St Joseph’s Room. Parishioners are welcome. Please sign in at reception.

As there will be no Parish Summer Fair this year we will be holding a summer raffle. Thank you to everyone who has donated prizes. Tickets will be printed and available to sell soon. The raffle will be drawn at the St Gregory’s Summer Tea on 12 August

OLSM Church Flowers. We still need people to volunteer to have a go at doing the flowers (we have had two so far but it would be better if we had more). Please contact Fr Paul Harrison at The Priory.

Workington Town Council are looking for groups or individuals who can help make items for their WW1 Centenary activities. The items can be anything from card/paper grass to knitted/crochet poppies.
