Redland Hospital volunteers have been recognised for their Wayfinding Service during the recent infrastructure uplift project as part of Digital Hospital preparationsMany of Redland Hospitalrsquos services were temporarily relocated during the uplift and ward areas and patients moved to different wards or beds within the ward on short notice

Redland Hospital and Wynnum-Manly Community Health Centre Director Allied Health Gail Gordon said Volunteer Co-ordinator Michelle Hall and her team of Wayfinders provided a valuable Wayfinding and patient location service in both of the foyers of Redland Hospital where they assisted family members and patients to find their loved one or a relevant service

ldquoThe volunteer Wayfinders were nominated for a Digital Hospital award because they were the friendly and willing face of the Hospital during the chaos of the electrical upgrades by assisting the public both patients and visitors in this difficult timerdquo Gail said
