    Digipak/Advert Poster Influence

    Colour scheme:

The colour scheme for my Digipak is gold, black and white. Idecided upon these colours as they are linked with religion and Iopted to play on our band name Presbyterian church of Korea. This Religious link also explains the album name Sacrilege.

The first influence for my front cover is sourced from the Justicecrucifix artwork pictured to the bottom right. I altered the

dimensions slightly in order to work with the image of the band onthe cover.

For the draft version of my Digipak the cover featured a girlstanding in the foreground of a church as I aimed to recreate EwenSpencers photography for The Streets album a grand dont comefor free which I blogged about a few weeks ago. However after

taking these photos, I blogged about the quality not being up toscratch. So I changed the image to one of the band that I took onthe recording day. Initially I went for a vaccines inspired image ona white background, however it looked more aesthetically pleasingto have a white outline around the trio on a black background. Igained inspiration for this idea firstly from a Disclosures artworkwhere the outline of the duo is covered with a white mask:

The second aspect to my influence was a chalk outline of a bodythat I discover when browsing the Internet: I then complied these

ideas together to create a white outline around the edge of theband image, which I cut out on Photoshop. This created an imageof the band that stood out and became the focal point of the cover.

It then enabled me to create a brand image forthe band and album, which I carried forth tomy poster by using a similar format.

The back cover of my Digipak was heavily influenced by EwenSpencers photography for The Streets album a grand dont comefor free but with a minimal look, which is conventional with that ofmy bands genre Indietronic. I blogged about this a few weeks

    ago:

As for the Left cover I photographed the pattern that I found on anold bible in my house, I then cut it out and copied it over and overto make a pattern.
