Digipak Analysis

A Digipak (a type of CD case including either one or more CD’s) allows the artist to provide certain information about certain events to keep their audience updated and images promoting their image.The digipak by Oasis above represents the band, giving the audience an indication of the genre included in the CD. A large image of an acoustic guitar, as well as the word ‘Acoustic’ makes it feel as if they’re giving their fans a limited edition, making them feel special as it seems it’s not the genre they usually produce. The image mainly consist of brown tones in order for the case to ‘blend in’, giving it a professional yet classy look.The bands’ name is typically displayed at the front and side of the cover; a part of the generic convention of a digipak, to obviously make it clear that it’s their album.
