The Pipe Thread Cleaner with Recover y Tool is a mechanical pneumatically driven device which cleans Pin & Box threads Casing/Tubing/Drill with rotating brushes Using a harmless solvent and immediate recovery of waste This device uses rig air to power the device’s air driven motor which rotates the devices cleaning brushes, supply compressed air to the solvent tank to spray the solvent onto the thread’s surface, obtain a vacuum from a venturi nozzle to suction off the threads during cleaning, collecting the contaminant laden solvent in the waste tank. The venturi pump produces a vacuum pressure of – 0.41 bar inside the tank where dirty solvent passes through a filter. The filter retains the hazardous solids and allows the solvent to pass to the collection tank.

WIPER TO SAVE RIG TIME

A Wiper Seal is mounted on the top of the PMB-350. Raising the detached pipe, the seal has the ability to wipe the pipe body then the tool joint exterior.

To further save rig time, a seal with the tool joint dimension is mounted onto the bottom seal of PMB-350 as the following scheme. This assembly allows you to skip the cleaning of the tool joint with water.
