  • REMINDER• YOU SHOULD BE TURNING IN YOUR MONTHLY REPORT AND

THINKING ABOUT WAYS TO KEEP YOUR CLUB ACTIVE

    • DID YOUR CLUB ENGAGE IN ANY TYPE OF COMMUNITY SERVICE? TELL US ABOUT IT SO WE CAN LOG/REPORT YOUR SERVICE HOURS

    • WE WILL NEED MEMBERSHIP ROSTERS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER – NO LATER THAN END OF FEBRUARY

  • Q & A BREAK

  • RECOGNITION• Recognition carries over into the spring and lasts an entire

academic year• No emails from CLD coming out to our knowledge• Watch for messages coming towards the end of the spring semester• Any change in officers? Let us and CLD know

  • OFFICER ELECTIONS• It is completely up to each club about when they hold elections• Club Sports staff can advise on how elections can work, but this

should be outlined in your constitution• Most clubs hold elections at the end of an academic year• If you recently had an officer election or a change in club leaders,

please let us know so we can update our contacts

  • SPRING 2021 PRACTICE SCHEDULE• Will be announced as we get closer to the semester• Example of traditional spring schedule via screen share• Outdoor clubs not guaranteed indoor space for third quarter, but

we will try to get you at least one practice night per week• Please share your practice intentions with us before you leave for

    winter break

  • SPRING 2021 PRACTICE SCHEDULE• We will still be scheduling practices as if spring break were to

happen at a traditional time• Outdoor fields remain closed until they are safe and playable• Target time is mid-March; assessment of field playability is first

    week of March

  • SPRING EVENT SCHEDULES• You can always schedule events and have them be canceled• Scheduling needs to be done thru Matt and Therese• Traveling? Let’s talk about that• Campus Events Policy• Emergency Operations Center• Spring 2021 Intramural Sports Opportunities

  • GOVERNING BODY UPDATES• Return to play surveys and inquiries• Philosophy of club leaders addressing governing bodies vs. Matt• Matt should ALWAYS be copied on a message to a governing body• Membership dues for a governing body – please communicate with

Matt• It is important to remember that just because a governing body

says they’re playing, doesn’t mean you are – this is a UW-Whitewater decision; governing bodies are not necessarily paying attention to local ordinances

  • GOVERNING BODY UPDATES• Common questions for spring:

    • When can we return to play?• Can we host?• Can we travel?• Can we scrimmage?• What are practice restrictions?

    • Unfortunately, these are not known yet. We ask clubs still practice patience and modify their operations accordingly

  • Q & A BREAK

  • EQUIPMENT ROOM• Now reorganized• Some equipment may still be out-of-place; we’re working on it• Expected to remain clean and organized• Take your time putting things away• Only use equipment for your club• Need general equipment (i.e. towels, cones, etc.)? Talk with Matt

  • EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES• If there is anything you would like to purchase, please talk with

Matt – DO NOT purchase anything on your own• Submit a purchase inquiry by contact Matt and sending a link to

products – Amazon preferred• We cannot guarantee we can purchase from all vendors because of

tax and shipping standards, but we can certainly try!• Check with Matt before “taking advantage” of purchasing deals

    established thru a governing body

  • MAKING A PURCHASE• How it Works:

    • Matt orders items based on your preferences• Items are shipped to Matt’s Office• Matt will either put away for you or wait for you to pick up• Money deducted from your SUFAC account• Only Matt or Therese may purchase items using SUFAC money; individual

    clubs cannot

  • SUFAC UPDATE• Emails went out prior to Thanksgiving• All clubs who were recognized as of the budget hearing received

what they asked for• Budget hearing was for 21-22 Academic Year (fiscal year 22)• Nothing new to report for this academic year

  • FUNDRAISING• Keep it going• Don’t forget to make SFO deposits if you have money• Apparel fundraisers• Donations• Do not use GoFundMe or other third party platforms

  • LICENSING• Apparel Stores• Uniforms• Licensing Process• Proper Logos and Wordmarks• Preferred Vendors

    • Aropa Designs• BSN Sports• Mid-City Sports• On-Time Tees

  • PRESENCE SITES• Friendly reminder to keep them updated

    • Roster• Contact Information• Practice Information• Constitution

    • Send us your constitution if we don’t have it!• General Club Information• Social Media Links

  • SUGGESTIONS & FEEDBACK• Share your thoughts on Fall 2020 and the direction of Club Sports

with us• We’d love to hear from you• Something you like? Dislike? Let us know!

  • STUDENT COORDINATOR POSITION• If interested in the Student Coordinator position for 2021-22,

please speak with Matt or Maddie• Position intended to be filled before April• Shadow period for fourth quarter• Position description available on the Rec Sports website• Specific application period unknown at this time but will be shared

    when known

  • CLUB SPORTS RECOVERY TEAM• How does Club Sports get thru and past the pandemic?• How can involvement opportunities become more known around

campus?• How can the admin team assist with your efforts?• It will take a team to get thru all of this and we may need your help!

If interested in helping us out, please speak with Matt or Maddie

  • Q & A BREAK
