Dear Stallion Families, Cimarron Springs is focused on preparing our Stallions for the 21 st Century. As we know, technology is an essenƟal component to our future. We focus on CollaboraƟon, CreaƟvity, CommunicaƟon, and CriƟcal Thinking on a daily basis, in order to send our students out into the world College and Career Ready. Here are some of the ways we are accomplishing this: We have an Increasing Rigor and Relevance Using Technology commiƩee leading staff developments and working with all grade levels to increase meaningful technology use in the classroom. All Cimarron Springs students will be parƟcipaƟng in the HOUR OF CODE on December 8, 2016. Coding is programming and creaƟng ideas using technology. Technology is changing the world we live in. Students will spend at least one hour during the day coding with devices. We are excited to parƟcipate in this naƟonwide event! We are conƟnuing to make strides in the types of technology we are offering to our Stallions. We have increased the number of chromebook carts, which allows students more frequent access to technology. Students are working with teachers and creaƟng projects uƟlizing our 3D printer. We are also in the process of ordering even more e‐ beams, which are interacƟve white boards, as well. All of these tools, along with rigorous instrucƟon aligned to the Standards, will prepare our students for jobs that haven’t even been created yet. We are constantly striving to increase the availability of technology resources for our students. Please look for informaƟon in January about BoosterThon. The proceeds will be going toward addiƟonal chromebooks for student use. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season with your families and we look forward to a stellar Stallion New Year! Health Office Hints From Mrs. Stueber

We are looking for Cimarron Stallion wear that your child may

have outgrown. Your donations are always greatly appreciated!

If your student has received immunizations, please supply the

Health Office with a copy.

Character Counts December’s Pillar: Caring

In December, we are focusing on Caring. We ask students to consider the following questions: What talents do you have? How can you use

them to help others? Who is your role model and why? What can you give as a gift

without spending money?
