We really appreciate all the help and support you have provided our students this year. You are an amazing group of parents who do a fantastic job. We look forward to your continued support in 2020. Class lists are now complete for 2020. This is a very intricate process that the teachers put a lot of thought into. We endeavour to make the best possible placement for each child. The children will meet their 2020 teacher on Friday 13 December from 11–12noon. We have a strong teaching team for 2020 with no changes to our permanent staff. From The Principal Dear Parent/Caregivers, Wow!!! Only 34 more sleeps until Christmas!! A massive thank you to our awesome PTA. You are such a vital part of our school. We really appreciate all the help and support you have provided our students this year. You are an amazing group of parents who do a fantastic job. We look forward to your continued support in 2020.

Class lists are now complete for 2020. This is a very intricate process that the teachers put a lot of thought into. We endeavour to make the best possible placement for each child. The children will meet their 2020 teacher on Friday 13 December from 11–12noon.

This week in ReviewAthletics Pre-Elimination day

This is always a big day on our sporting calendar and we were lucky to get it completed, between early showers, ready for the Finals day we had on Tuesday.A range of running races were timed from 60 metres through to 200m which found our finalists. Thank you to a range of parents including Lynne Counsell, Mike Hills and a fantastic group of college students. ASSEMBLY WEEK 8 (6 DECEMBER). WE WILL BE HAVING OUR ASSEMBLY ON WEEK 9 - (13

DECEMBER AT 9.30AM) WHICH IS THE FINAL WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY.

At this Assembly we will be presenting the Sports Cups, Road Patrol Certificates, Final term

Certificates and having the Gold Card Award. All Parent/Caregivers welcome to attend.

School Gala Day TODAY - come along!!!!Today, Thursday 21 November, is our annual Gala

Day from 3.30 - 6.30pm. There will be loads of food stalls, games and fun activities for the

children to take part in. We will also once again be holding a Silent Auction. Bid on some wonderful

items which have been kindly donated to the school. A huge assortment available. This is a great fundraiser for the school so please get

behind us to make this a successful event again. Children will need small change (no large notes please) and NO EFTPOS available. Games in Shark’s Alley run by the Senior Students are

generally 20c and 50c. There will be lots of rides, face painting etc for around $2 each.

ROOM 10 STORY WRITINGBella the deep sea fishMy fish is called Bella. Bella protects herself by using her teeth. Willo the jellyfish is her best friend. She eats other fish that are tiny. Bella lives in the dark at the bottom of the sea. She loves to scareother fish with her lightbulb. She has special scales and pink scary eyes with sharp teeth and a very bright hanging lightbulb off her head so she can see in the dark. By Lilly

GRANDPARENTS DAY - 25 NOVEMBERWe will be holding our specialday for Grandparents/Special people on Monday 25 November from 9.00am-12.30pm. The Children love to show off their school and we welcome all to attend.

Free Child Restraint ChecksThis is on Friday 22 November at the Matamata

Bible Church Carpark, 11 Meura Street, Matamata from 9.00am - 12noon. They will check that your capsule, restraint or booster seats are correctly fitted and answer any questions you may have.

School Trolley’s/Gravity RacersMr Baukema and Mr Mair have been creating some trolley’s with groups of students to be used at the school leader camp later this year. Not only have the children learnt a little on what you need to make a trolley, they have helped put them together. Another group of students have been test driving the trolley’s to see how well they work.A trolley (or gravity racer) is a fantastic way to start woodworking, designing and creating!

NEW LAUNCH OF 12 MONTH ENTERTAINMENT DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP

We have been notified that the Entertainment Membership will now be for a 12 month period so this means if you

purchase a membership at any time, this will be valid for 12 months from purchase date. Previously these were

June-June. The membership is $65.00 and these are only available in a digital version for your phone. There are amazing food and entertainment deals in these saving hundreds of dollars. There are lots of activities such as

PICKING CHILDREN UP FROM SCHOOLA reminder that our school bell rings at 2.55pm at the end of each school day. Could you please make sure

your children are picked up promptly at the end of each day as we have an increasing amount of children not

being picked up until 3.15-3.30pm. If you are going to be late please contact the school office to advise them so a message can be sent to your child/ren.

If children are not picked up on time they will be required to wait under the Te Waharoa at the front entry of our school. We would prefer children not to wait in other areas of the school where they cannot be monitored.
