Daymap 8 introduces significant changes and improvements to the Daymap Learning Management System.

Repositioning Teaching & Learning in Daymap 8

Lesson Page replaced by -> Class Page

Virtual Classrooms replaced by -> Course Hub

The Daymap Class Page – Roll Marking

Note: When clicking through to the Class Page from the Dayplan, Roll Marking will now appear first if the roll has yet to be marked.

The Daymap Class Page – Roll with Photos

Daymap 8 includes an option to view Student Photos during Roll Marking by clicking on the “Photos” button.

The Daymap Class Page – Attendance Reports

View Attendance Rate and Attendance Map Reports for your selected Class via the Reports Tab

The Daymap Class Page – Class Feed

Class Feed is a real-time feed of all events for this particular class. Click “View Options” to adjust the items you wish to view – Daymap will remember this as a default.

The Daymap Class Page – Lessons

Use the left-hand menu to move between lessons to view or add notes or resources. Daymap now supports drag & drop to upload files to lessons via this view.

The Daymap Class Page – Add New

The “Add New” Menu replaces the Lesson Page Menu and makes adding resources or assessments to lessons easier. Daymap 8 also integrates with ClickView and Khan Academy.

The Daymap Class Page – Outline

The Outline Tab provides an editable section of the Class Page add Overview Information like Unit Summaries, Assessment Plans, etc. This can be made visible to

parents via the Parent Portal.

The Daymap Class Page – Resources

The Resources Tab collects all resources used for the class and makes them easy to find and re-use.

The Daymap Course Hub

Daymap Virtual Classrooms are re-badged as The Course Hub in Daymap 8.This reflects the best practice use of our SharePoint integration as a documentation

management tool.

The Course Hub can be staff-facing only or be visible to both staff and students.

Clicking on Course Hub in the Daymap Menu will take you to the Home Page of The Course Hub. (Curriculum Package Only)

Daymap 8 Class Page – Course Hub

Clicking on Course Hub in the Class Page will take you directly to the Course Hub Page for that particular class.

The Course Hub is built and managed in SharePoint 2013

Daymap 8 – Course Hub Home

The Course Hub can be used to store subject-specific documentation for collaboration and easy access.

Daymap 8 – Daymap ConnectNew Parent Portal

Daymap Connect – New Parent Portal

The Home Tab contains a real-time feed of all student activity, and highlights any new Daymap Messages that have been received.

Daymap Connect – This Week Tab

This Week shows the student timetable with attendance and any tasks or homework for the specified week. Parents can open tasks and view attachements.

Daymap Connect – Current Tasks

Current Tasks can be viewed as an overview of all subjects or by individual subjects. The Results Tab shows all published Assessment Results with the same options.

Daymap Connect – Assessment Schedule

The Daymap Assessment Schedule can now be published to the Parent Portal. This is an optional view which the school can turn on if desired.
