23. Summary of the Event(Around 100 words)

Karnataka is the largest state in south India with 30 districts. It is a state thatdefines that the rich culture in its traditional attire of art, craft, music, dance,festivals and literature. To its modernity that the capital city Bengalurubreathes. Every district has its own unique culture. Bengaluru to enjoy itscorporate life, the lesser known Bagalkote for its spiritual travel trail, Hampifor historians and archaeologist and Sirsi for its thick cover flora and fauna.Karnataka has the 2nd highest number of nationally protected monuments inIndia. The districts of the Western Ghats and the southern districts of thestate have popular eco-tourism locations including Kudremukh, Madikeri andAgumbe. The ruins of the Vijayanagar empire at Hampi and Monolithictemples of Pattadakal are on the list of UNESCO’S world heritage sites. Thecave temples at Badami and the rock-cut temples at Aihole are also populartourist destinations. The Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebidu which werebuilt with chlorite schist are proposed UNESCO world heritage sites. Themonolith of Gomateshwara at Shravanabelogola is the tallest sculptedmonolith in the world. The waterfalls of Karmata and Kudremukh nationalpark are listed as must-see places and among the “1001 natural wonders ofthe world “Jog Falls with Gokak falls. Popular beaches dot the coastlineIncluding Murdeshwara, Gokarna. There are many other places of historicand religious importance. Though each region has its own culture there isunity in diversity that’s why Karnataka is called as ‘one state many world’.
