Wedding: Jake McCartney and Danielle Stonehouse were married on January 30th.
Jake is the son of Michelle and Peter McCartney, and Grandson of Bob and Charmaine Fisher.
We wish them the very best for the future.
New Years Day was heralded in with several thin bands of rain in the district.
The Tickner farm managed to get 18mms of rain which included hail, some the
size of golf balls. The hail caused damage by smashing windows and damaging
the solar hot water panels, as well as causing havoc in the garden—particularly
the vegetable garden. The rain continued on to Lah.
Tickner’s neighbours on Hood Lane surprisingly were left untouched by this rain.
Other bands of rain also went north of Brim, and, along with the wind, did quite a
bit of damage between Beulah and Birchip.
Right: One hail stone found at Tickner’s farm.

was because the producer used a 1985/86 Cricket Photo from the former Sheep Hills Club. Barry
Schilling and David Holland organised the deal and the club received a donation for their assistance.
One member of the club was omitted so that Eric Banner’s father could be included in the photo and
of course, the name of the club was changed.
Those involved in the film appreciated the co-operation given to them by the club.

The local news station was interviewing an 80 year old lady because she has just been married for the fourth time.
The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying at 80 and the about her new husband’s occupation.
“He’s a funeral director,” she answered.
“Interesting,” the newsman thought.
He then asked her if she wouldn’t mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living.
She paused for a few minutes, needing time to reflect on all those years.
After a short time, a smile came over her face and she answered proudly, explaining she had first married a banker when she was in her 20’s,
then a circus ringmaster in her 40’s.
And a preacher when in her 60’s,
And now in her 80’s a funeral director.
The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had married four men with such diverse careers.
She smiled and explained,
“I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready and four to go.”
