Daniel Murphy“The man, the myth, the Legend”

Born on July 12, 1994 I was born on July 12, 1994 on a hot summer night in Glen Ridge, New Jersey

I was born at Mount side Hospital in Glen Ridge, New Jersey

My Family

My family means everything to me

My mothers name was Bridget and my fathers name is Scott

My real mother passed away when I was 12, but luckily god blessed me with an amazing step-mother named Kristin

I have three siblings Tom who is 18, Colleen who is 15, and Conor who is 3

High School

I attended Glen Ridge High School, in Glen Ridge New Jersey

I was not that great of a student, but I graduated with a decent Gpa

I only applied to two schools and as soon as Coastal accepted me I instantly made the decision to attend

Sports High School sports where a huge part of my life

I played Baseball and Basketball

In basketball I played small forward and loved shooting threes

Baseball was my favorite sport and I trained all year round for it I played 3rd base

When I am home from South Carolina I still help my old teams out by voulteer coaching

Knee Injuries

Unfortunately my high school sports career was not all it could have been because of multiple knee injuries.

I have had four surgery's on my left knee and I surgery on my left knee

Maybe if I had not of gotten injured of would of be able to play in college, but hey now I'm here in beautiful myrtle beach so everything happens for a reason.

Tennis

I have been working at Bill Wings Tennis Academy in New Jersey

I love teaching tennis, it is truly my passion in life, it isn’t even like work to me.

I hope I will be able to teach tennis the rest of my life.

My Major

My major at Coastal Carolina is Physical Education

I was originally a business major, but then realized it was not for me and working with kids was my calling

A major part of what made me realize this is teaching tennis in the summer, I am very grateful for having that job.

The only hard part about the major is the biology classes I have to take they are very hard and demanding

Life Goals

My current goal is to graduate from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Physical Education.

I want back to move back to my home state of New Jersey where my parents live and get a job as a gym teacher there

I also hope to work as a tennis pro still on the weekends to make some extra cash

I would also like to coach high school basketball and baseball

Hobbies

If you couldn’t tell from the rest of this presentation my hobby is sports

I love playing all sports and watching all sports it doesn’t matter which ones

My favorite professional teams are the Yankees, Knicks, Nets, and Giants

My favorite college teams are Duke, Rutgers, and The U
