Francisco Date of Exposure: December 5, 2012 Day of Exposure: 4 (Thursday) Area of Exposure: Library-Health Science Campus USLS Extension Specific Objectives: After 8 hours of library work, the Practicing Head Nurse will be able to: 1. Arrange schedule of library works to be done to accomplish all works in time. 2. Use critical thinking and good judgment in answering guide questions. 3. Appraise all activities for today in improving knowledge, skills, and attitude of a PHN. TIME ACTIVITIES RATIONALE 7:00AM- 7:30AM - Assembly i n the assigned a rea (HSC Amphitheatre) - Opening prayer  Discipline- Encourages student staff nurses to be a disciplined individual and always start the day with a prayer 7:30AM- 8:30AM Preconference - Ch ec ki ng of attenda nc e - Orientat ion to be gi ve n by PHN facilitator on what to do for this day - Ch ec ki ng an d s ig ni ng of  requirements Communication- Good standing through coordination and cooperation among the group are maintained by effect ive communication Authority and Responsibility- right to give orders by the area facilitator and the choice to respond on the work given Unity of Command- PHNs will have to be oriented for coordination to make the work easier Unity of Direction- to have unison in motion, PHNs should be moving towards a common objective in a common direction. Clarity of Purpose- Coordination and cooperation are facilitated by an effective system of communication 8:30AM- 11:30AM - Proceed to the Library - Ut il iz e mat er ials in the li br ar y to research on information  based on the questions given - Make an output Division of Work - load of work at the level of the strength a PHN can handle Order- for one to produce an output, one must assess if materials and resources are adequate

Specific Objectives:

After 8 hours of library work, the Practicing Head Nurse will be able to:

group

for breaks.

- Thanking the area facilitator and the librarian

Remuneration- Compensation for work done

should be fair to both PHN and area facilitator 

Unity of command- attaining unified

instructions as to the activities on the days to

follow.
