COMMUNION VOLUNTEERS Please sign the list in the Commons for one May-July Sunday to prepare and clean communion trays.

Last week we witnessed the tragedy that happened in the greater Nashville area after several horrific tornadoes. It’s a reminder how powerful of a force nature really is. It’s also a reminder of how short life can be. We’ve heard of the young children and parents that passed away and many others we haven’t heard the story of. Many of you have read the touching tribute to his 4-year-old daughter Matt Collins, a youth minister at the Collegeside Church of Christ, wrote. We’ve heard how many congregations added Holy, Holy, Holy to their worship Sunday as it was little Sawyer Kimberlin’s, a victim of the tornado along with his parents, favorite song to sing. Many tears have been shed and many perspectives changed because of the events last week. The Bible instructs us to rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those that mourn (Romans 12:15) and in Galatians 6:10 it says, Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. I think the actions of the last week show us the church can and does step up to the plate as the Bible tells us to.

What about when things happen to us individually, how will we react? What should/will we do? Is there a cookie cutter answer? Join us Sunday as we will dive into those questions as we ask “What?”.

We look forward to seeing everyone Sunday! In Him, Todd
