OUR SYMPATHY Betty Lott’s son and David Lott’s older brother, Randy Lott (35-years-old), died of a heart attack Monday. The memorial service is expected to be next week.

Sunday I was watching the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs.

There was about 10 minutes left in the first half and Houston was

leading Kansas City 24-0. It was a great quarter and a half if you

were a Texans fan, but not for long. The Chiefs stormed back to

take a 28-24 halftime lead and went on to win 51-31! Not a game

you’d like to re-watch if you’re a Texans fan, but maybe so if you’re

a Chiefs fan. A Chief’s fan can watch the first quarter and a half

when things are going bad and just say, it’s okay I can keep watch-

ing, because we win. Knowing the outcome makes life easier. It’s

the same with our spiritual life. In John 16:33 Jesus tells us there

will be bad things to happen to us, but to be of good cheer because

He has overcome the world. As Christians, we can go through

tough times and say, that’s okay I can keep going, because we

know the outcome. Jesus has provided the way and prepared a

house for us if we follow Him. How confident are you in life? If you

know the outcome it just makes life easier!

Orlando Mission Trip: We thank you so much for all of the ways

you supported our fundraising this year! We only have about S500

left to reach our goal. If anyone would like to donate monetarily to

help us reach the goal, please let me know. If you ordered one of

the church shirts from our last fundraiser, I will have them sorted

and ready to pick up Sunday evening at church. Thank you!!

We look forward to seeing you Sunday!

In Him, Todd

NOTES OF APPRECIATION To my loving family in Christ, I want to offer my sincerest gratitude to everyone at Hartselle for their encouragement, aid and love. This church has had such a profound effect on my

life and words cannot express that properly. As I continue my journey into ministry I will always remember where it began: with my wonder-ful family here. Thank you. Christianly love, Andrew Gourley “There is a destiny that makes us brothers, no one goes his way alone; All that we send into the lives of others, Comes back into our own.”—Edwin Markham

Just a simple note of “Thank You” for the kindness you have always shown me, particularly the fruit basket and meal during the holiday season...also meals through the years. It is deeply appreciated. Special thank you to John & Shelia Kyle. Sincerely, Bonnie Allen
