Present assignments The Director Communication and Public Affairs is responsible for the Public Information at the Swedish Armed Forces, is a member of the Armed Forces Defence Board and is the official spokesperson for the Military Service Branches. The Director is also the Head of the Office of Communication and Public Affairs at the Headquarters. Résumé Erik Lagersten has been the Director Communication and Public Affairs at the Swedish Armed Forces since December 2008. He has worked with Communications and Public Relations since 1994 after studies at the Stockholm University in Economics, Economic Statistics and Econometrics. Erik Lagersten has a professional experience both from the private sector within telecommunications and investment banking as well as from the public sector and government relations. He is also a graduate from the Swedish Naval War Academy and a commissioned officer in the Royal Swedish Naval Reserve. He lives in Stockholm with wife and three children.
