    Museums, cemeteries! Truly identical

in their sinister juxtaposition of bodies

that do not know each other. Publicdormitories where you sleep side by

side for ever with beings you hate ordo not know. Reciprocal ferocity of thepainters and sculptors who murder

each other in the same museum with

blows of line and color. To make a visitonce a year, as one goes to see the

graves of our dead once a year, that

we could allow! We can even imagineplacing flowers once a year at the feet

of the Gioconda! But to take oursadness, our fragile courage and our

anxiety to the museum every day, that

we cannot admit!Do you want to poison yourselves?

Do you want to rot?Futurist Manifest

The main objective of this project is to analyze the concept of aculturalcenter as a living organism. To achieve this, a block of habitation is createdthat is apparted by both permanent residents (that control the culturalactivities) and guests for temporary exhibitions. The habitation building is

connected to the cultural building in the way that it can also host parts ofthe exhibition as well as discussions, projections, dinners, e.t.c. In the rest of the area, there is an open space, against the twobuildings that can operate as a concert space with temporary installationsand other activities. Also, there is a parking (for the needs of the center) andsome more open space that works as public space. In this area, temporarypavillions can exist in order to spread the cultural actitvies through openspaces or alterntively to be used as gathering points for the citizens oflisbon.
