Traditional Worship, 8:30am Welcome and Announcements
Prelude “O Word of God Incarnate” Andrew Clark
*Call To Worship All are welcome here! None are left outside God’s house. There is always room, because God loves each of us. All are welcome here! We come to praise and worship the God who calls us. Let’s open our hearts to one another, just as Christ opens his heart to us. Together we praise the God who loves us just as we are—and prepares us to become more.
Opening Prayer
*Hymn of Praise “Come, Thou Almighty King” UMH #61
Passing of the Peace
Time of Prayer - The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
*Affirmation of Faith (Apostles’ Creed) UMH #881
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead: he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
Prayer For Illumination O Lord, your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Give us grace to receive your truth in faith and love, and strength to follow on the path you set before us; through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Opportunities for Prayer and Action: From hurricanes to earthquakes to
social upheaval at home and abroad, it is sometimes difficult to know how
to plug in and transform our world for Christ, as we're called to do. Here
are a few thoughts and suggestions:
Thank you for what you've done. From the lives you have touched in
our church and our community to the thousands of dollars raised for
hurricane relief, take heart that you are already making a difference.
Keep praying.
Keep giving. UMCOR will continue to send funds and supplies to those
impacted by the natural disasters. Our connected giving as a church
makes it possible for 100% of donations to these disasters to go right to
work, without being diverted for administrative costs. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
