Cubase LE 6 start up guide The screenshots in this guide were taken on Windows 7, however the installation process will be almost exactly the same on Mac.

1. Run and open the CD on your computer.

2. Open the ‘Cubase LE 6’ folder and then run the ‘Start_Center’

3. When launched, select your language and then run through the steps until you get to the main menu.

4. Click on ‘Install’ and run through the installer for Cubase LE 6 on your computer.

5. After you have done this, go back to the main Start Center menu and click on ‘Activate & Register’.

6. Here, follow the steps to create your “My Steinberg” Account

7. Steinberg will send a confirmation email to the address you provided them.

Open that email, and click on “Activate Account”. When you do, your account will be on line.

8. Once you have created your “My Steinberg” account, go to the “My Products”

page, and select “Add New Software”

9. Under “Cubase”, choose “Older Cubase AI/LE Version”, then choose “Cubase LE 6”

10. If you haven’t already done so, download the eLicenser Control Center (eLCC)

here. You will need to download and install the right version of the software for your operating system (Mac or PC).

11. Once the eLCC is installed, open it up by going to Start > All programs. eLicenser on Windows, or Applications > eLicenser Control Center on Mac. Once open, go to; Registration > (your ELCC #) > Copy Serial Number.

12. In your “My Steinberg” page, paste your ELCC # in the “Soft-eLicenser” section (Ctrl+V on PC, Command+V on Mac), and select “Focusrite” under

“OEM Partner”. Click Continue

13. After you have been given the Activation Code, copy the code from the Steinberg Website, then enter eLicenser and click “Enter Activation Code”.

14. Paste your Activation Code into the following window, and click “Continue”.

15. Click on ‘Download License’ and the license for Cubase LE 6 will start to download.

16. Once this has finished, you can close the eLCC, log out of your MySteinberg account and remove the installation disk from your computer. You will then be ready to open up Cubase LE 6 and enjoy recording with your new Scarlett Studio.
