/ Ref. Personnel

- Any purchase request for new measuring equipment shall obtain prior approval from Director. - Director shall verify to ensure the measuring equipment is suitable for use.

- Quotation

- Director

- Any new purchased measuring equipment shall be registered in the Equipment Calibration List. - Assign equipment number. - Determine that calibration or verification interval, calibrator (internal or external), measurement tolerance required. - For internal calibration, calibration instructions shall be prepared, and shall have traceable to international or national measurement standards.

- Equipment Calibration List (CS-F35)

- Production Manager

- The methods of handling, usage, maintenance and storage shall be determined in line with any applicable manufacturer’s recommendations:

• User shall check the measuring equipment working conditions before use.

• All measuring equipment shall be handled as per instructed by Production dept.

• Any malfunction or damage to the equipment used shall be reported to Director .

• After use, all measuring equipment shall be cleaned and stored in appropriate designated area to prevent misuse or loss.

- Ensure appropriate training is provided to equipment users to preserve the integrity of equipment for intended application, and no damage or loss of measurement precision.

Personnel

- For external calibration, arrange for proper packing and delivery to external calibrator. - External calibrator shall be a nationally accredited laboratory. - For internal calibration, calibration shall be conducted as per the defined calibration instructions by trained personnel. The calibration conditions shall be defined in the calibration instruction. - Generate internal calibration records accordingly.

- External Calibrator - Internal Calibration Instructions

- Production Manager

- Upon receipt of calibration report, internal or external, verify the results to determine the acceptability of the equipment against measurement tolerance required. - Paste calibration sticker upon acceptance. - For equipment that is not use for verifying product and process conformance to quality requirements, indicates with a “FOR INDICATION ONLY” label. - For equipment which calibration setting can be adjusted, shall be appropriately protected against accidental tempering of the setting (e.g. stored under lock-up, or sealed at the setting).

- Production Manager

- For acceptable calibrated equipment, release for use. - For unacceptable calibrated equipment, quarantine it and identify the remedy to either repair or replace the equipment.

- Production Manager

- To re-inspect the affected product measured using the ‘out of calibration’ equipment. - The inspection results shall be recorded. - Determine further action.

• Scrap • Buy new equipment • Use as it with correction factor
