Buzzard Bushcraft will guide you around the garden for a fascinating look at the wild plants and trees of the area. We will take a look at the seasonal edible, medicinal and the mythology of various plants and hopefully give you a better understanding so that when you are out for a walk you will not only look and see grass but you will be able to prepare a perfect salad that will taste better than any you’ve ever tasted.

Join Bruce Batten as he explains what to do in your garden to prepare for its winter slumber, and give hope for a rousing spring, all in a single session. We will cover what to sow and plant, from hardy annuals and spring bulbs to trees, what to lift or store and what to prune. Also tidying perennials, restoring the lawn, making leaf mould, and using your greenhouse off-season.

This is an exciting new workshop by Sharon Bingham, looking at some of the Bach Remedies and their uses in difficult situations, such as when we find ourselves under pressure or things go wrong in life. You will learn about Dr Bach who made these flower essences, how they are made and the benefits of them to everyone. Includes a personally blended flower remedy treatment bottle to take away.

If you are a wildlife lover, interested to learn more about our local mammals as well as other interesting mammals from around the world, then why not join our Park Rangers for an interactive workshop and guided walk around the Gardens, focussing on the resident mammal species of Antrim Castle Gardens and surrounding areas.

Join Bruce Batten for a short pictorial tour through the history of gardening, rich in illustration so easy on the eye, but also filled with information and anecdotes. You will learn how some of the great gardens we can still visit today, including Antrim Castle Gardens, closely represent fashions and philosophies of the period in which they were built. The focus is on the gardens of Europe, the Middle East, Britain and Ireland.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers. No previous experience is necessary and all tools and materials are supplied. This is a lovely basket to make and was once made in vast numbers around the Southern shores of Lough Neagh. You will make a domestic sized basket used to teem and serve potatoes, which can be used for many jobs in the modern home
