Introduction of Karachi Tools, Dies & Moulds Centre

Respected Sir / Madam

Karachi Tools, Dies and Moulds Centre is a project setup by Ministry of Industries &

Production Government of Pakistan to provide training and services to upgrade the

professional skills of Technicians and Professionals to learn Tools Dies and Moulds

making technologies including computer aided designing and manufacturing.

The machining and heat treatment facilities are placed in workshop hall having 20,000

sft area and CAD / CAM training software 100 units are housed in academic block

adjacent to workshop hall. The centre has capability to train 850 students through long

and short courses including one year diploma course, while on job training the centre

can produce 25-30 dies & moulds / annum.

A full-fledged heat treatment plant for vacuum hardening and nitriding of Dies, Moulds

and Toolings made by SECO / WARWICK, Poland is commissioned in April 2009.

(Furnaces Capacity: 600X600X900 mm with maximum loading 800 kg each).

KTDMC started functioning since January 2008. Since then we have trained more than

500 students in short term courses as well as we started One year diploma in Dies &

Mould making in September 2008 comprising of 25 students Currently we are running

our fourth session of Diploma.

We have already produced more than 50 dies and moulds of medium & large size while

“on-the-job training” of semi-skilled and skilled workmen.

Upon your kind visit to our facilities, you may realize that we can help your business a

lot.
