  • Provide in service training to new entrants and existing staff of the PMD and other requesters in All fields of Meteorology ,like Observational method, techniques & procedure in basic meteorology, Climatology, Met. instruments, weather forecasting etc.

    Promote public awareness regarding meteorology.

  • In first phase of the project a training viz Preliminary Meteorology Course of 18 weeks duration has been conducted at Institute of Meteorology & Geophysicsfrom 25th February, 2008 to 28th June, 2008

    10 Meteorological personnel, two from each following countries have attended the course
