Academy!
Founded by Makeup Artist Shabnam who is a committed,
hard-working professional make-u p artist, fully qualified
and has taken training with various renowned make-up
academies.
The Academy specialises in various make-up courses and
workshops to suit all levels of interest, including the popular
5 Day Intensive Hair & Make-up Course. Shabnam aims to
equip students with both the knowledge and skills to inspire
and prepare them for a career in the thrilling world of
make-up artistry.
The Academy also offers help and support with our six-
month aftercare plan helping students achieve as much
valuable work experience in the industry as well as a
certificate of recognition.
All our courses are taught by Shabnam herself with many
years of experience.
You will be introduced to working with many luxury make-
up products from MAC, Inglot, NARS, Illamasqua, Make-up
store, sleek and m any more.

Our most popular 5 Day Hair & Make-up Course
This course has been intended for individuals who wish to
follow make-up as a career. The course will be led by
Shabnam herself with many years of experience. By the end
of this course, you will have gained skills on how to
accomplish make-up for bridal, fashion and special events
by using suitable cosmetic colours, methods and tricks of
the trade.
The 5 Day Make-up Training will contain theory and
practical demonstrations on how to achieve a variety of
looks. It will also include a portfolio shoot with professional
models.

This course covers all the basic training and is extremely
intensive because of the amount of knowledge you gain in
one day.
The Syllabus will cover:

Threading
During this 1 day course you will gain the under-pinning
knowledge needed to Support you when you are carrying
out a professional Threading treatment. Threading has
ancient origins and is widely used in Asia and the Middle
East as Method of hair removal. It uses special cotton
thread which is twisted and rolled along the surface of the
skin to remove individual hairs from their follicle. It gives a
clean precise line with minimal skin irritation. This course is
suitable for anyone interested in learning how to thread. It
is popular with makeup artists, beauty therapists, barbers
and hairdressers.
The Syllabus will cover:
Threading and its benefits
Preparation of yourself, your environment & your client
in readiness for Threading
contra-indications and contra-actions
Demonstration of Threading techniques

Terms and Conditions
All deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellation of attendance will require 4 weeks’
notice. If sufficient notice is not given and is less
than 4 weeks, AAMA have the right to charge 100%
of the total fee cost.
Cancellation should be made either by letter or
email to [email protected]
Should the course be cancelled due to unforeseen
circumstances, terrorism, act of God, or bad
weather conditions the AAMA would not reimburse
the student/s. An alternative date will be offered to
the student.
Course fees do not include travel, accommodation
or meals.
A student is accepted for enrolment on a course
subject to receipt of an application form and £100
deposit per course. Placements will not be given
without this.
If the student fails to arrive for their course or does
not complete the course for any reason, AAMA will
not refund or offer alternative course dates.
Students must leave work stations clean and tidy
at all times.
All brushes, equipment must be cleaned and ready
for use for each lesson.

FAQ’s Do I need any experience?
No, we welcome students with all levels of experience as
full training is included within the course starting from
beginner’s level .
What age do I need to be to take part in the course?
We welcome students ages 16+.
Do I need to bring my own kit?
No, we have everything available at the academy in order
for you to complete your course. You are required to bring
a camera, pen and notepad in order to take notes and
capture your work.
What are your class sizes?
Classes are available from groups of 6 or 1 on 1 tutoring.
What are your course dates?
We are flexible with our dates and courses. Please contact
us for our next available dates.
What is included in the portfolio session?
We will provide you with professional models,
photographer, latest wardrobe of outfits, accessories and
jewellery. You will receive all your images in high res and
we will also send you a selection of chosen airbrushed
images from your portfolio.
Do you receive a certificate after the course?
Yes, you will receive an accredited certificate which will
allow you to apply for insurance.
How do I pay for the course?
Payment by cash or cheque.
Do I need to pay a deposit to confirm my booking?
Yes, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required.
When do I pay the remainder of my fees?
You can pay 5 days in advance of the course start date or
on the first day of your training
Do you offer work experience?
Yes. You will be added to our database of artists, in which
we will contact you when any assistance is needed with
various jobs.
