The Costume Designers Guild hosts many events throughout the year, including a major awards show and fundraiser, a highly anticipated group of events at San Diego Comic-Con, as well as education and career development events, panel discussions, lectures and seminars, various craft labs, showcases and programs.

This is one of the most meaningful events of the year for both the CDG leadership and members, as they celebrate the lifetime contributions of their most celebrated designers at this intimate ‘insider’ event.

Each year in June, the CDG welcomes the Motion Picture Costumers Local 705 for a mixer at the CDG’s home in Burbank. The event is attended by about 300 members from both Guilds and is a great networking opportunity for both members and sponsors of the event.

Comic-Con International returns to the San Diego Convention Center July 18–July 21, 2019. For the 13th consecutive year, the Costume Designers Guild will have a major presence hosting our own Comic-Con panels and events, promoting the projects of our Designers and Illustrators, while celebrating this important creative component of the storytelling process.
