Also invited to receive the Sacrament are those who are ill or elderly who cannot come to Church. Please contact the rectory to arrange for the celebration. HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION This Thursday, December 8th, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patronal feast of the United States. We will have the usual Masses in English at 12:05 and 7:00pm in the upper church.

CONGRATULATIONS This Sunday at the Cathedral in Boston, our deacon Julio Vargas, and parishioner Isabella Fusco will receive the Cheverus Medal from Cardinal Sean O'Malley. The medal is named after the first bishop of Boston. Every three years, a parish may name someone who contributes to the life of the parish in a special, often unnoticed, way.

ADVENT There are still materials for you at the ramp exit of the church: an Advent calendar and a scriptural booklet.

2017 CALENDARS The 2017 religious calendars are available courtesy of the Cataudella Funeral Home of Methuen.

16th Annual Project Warm & Fuzzy

Thank You I wish to extend a heart-felt thank you to all who participated in donating to Project Warm & Fuzzy. It is amazing to see how an idea that started so small has become so incredibly successful. The out-pouring of support this year has surpassed all other years. Thanks to your kind hearts and generosity, many children and adults will stay warm this winter. I look forward to working with you again next year to make this project an even greater success. I would also like to thank the people who spent countless hours knitting and crocheting all year long. The personal touch gives an additional layer of warmth that can only come from something hand-made with care and love. I know and others I have not met, but I thank you all for making this such a successful project and for contributing to the good of others. The St. Vincent De Paul members would like to THANK the parishioners of Corpus Christi Parish for their generosity in our collections of food and money in the month of November and also to the St. Alfio’s Society that donated 20 Thanksgiving baskets. We helped 40 needy families for Thanksgiving dinner. During this Holiday Season it is important to realize that there are many of people that are not as fortunate as we are and it is our duty as Catholics to help bring a little happiness to our neighbors. SVDP knows that the month of December will be equally challenging and we hope that the Corpus Christi family will be as generous as last month.

GIVING TREE

The Giving Tree is located in the Sanctuary for easy access. The ornaments have the name and age of a child or adult and suggestion for a gift. Please return the wrapped gifts with the ornament on it NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, DEC. 11th. The organization

requesting these items will make up gift bags to be handed out. Once again, thank you for your generosity!

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL'S CHRISTMAS DINNERS FOR THE NEEDY

If you are in need of a Christmas Dinner or you know of a neighbor that is in need of a Christmas Dinner, please contact the rectory at 978-685-1711 and speak to the women in the office, they will request your name, address, and a contact number so we can call you and let you know when and where the dinners will be handed out. Please call as soon as possible as our requests have to be sent in to the main SVDP office.

VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY If you would like to donate money for the poor please put your regular offerings during the year for our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society in an envelope marked as such [“St. Vincent de Paul”, “for the poor” or “for the needy”] or use the envelopes that we have available in the upper Church and put it in the collection.

AWAY FOR THE WINTER! In the event that you will be away for a good portion of the winter, please notify the Rectory Office so that we may discontinue mailing your envelopes. Tell us how long you will be away and we will resume mailings upon your return.
