Magnificent scenery, exciting cities and friendly people!

Copenhagen, Denmark’s cosmopolitan city with the world’s oldest monarchy; Stockholm, Sweden’s capital, is beautifully spread across fourteen small islands. Two Scandinavian capitals, rich with history and boasting both incredible landscapes and bustling urban lifestyles! Copenhagen and Stockholm will thrill your clients with their unending array of activities – from swimming to hiking to world-famous museums and attractions, lively nightlife, great shopping, and excellent contemporary cuisine.

Each country has its own distinct language, yet each is widely known for its knowledge of English. Each country offers an excellent infrastructure with convenient rail and air services – within as well as between the capitals, making it easy to get around. Scandinavian Airlines offers direct connections from several gateways in the U.S. to Copenhagen and Stockholm, as well as between the two capitals every day, a one-hour flight. More inclined to drive or take the rain? The majestic Oresund Bridge connects the two countries at the foot of Sweden, by car or rail.

Day 1Art lovers and others should head for the Museum of Modern Art, one of the leading museums in the world for international art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The light and airy museum, with its fantastic view of the city, houses one of the Western World’s most representative collections of modern art. Have a cup of coffee or a nice lunch in the café and enjoy the view over Stockholm.

Across the bridge from the Museum of Modern Art is the National Museum. Experience the works of Sweden's most prominent artists such as Carl Larsson, Hanna Pauli, Anders Zorn and Bruno Liljefors, and international masters such as Rembrandt, Rubens, Goya, Renoir, Degas and many others

The City Hall, with its spire featuring the golden Three Crowns, is one of the most famous silhouettes in Stockholm. Stockholm City Hall is one of the country’s leading examples of national romanticism in architecture. The City Hall was designed by the architect Ragnar Östberg, and opened on June 23, 1923, coinciding with the biggest festival of the year in Swedish culture, Midsummer Eve. It is here that Nobel Prize winners are honored each year with an elegant banquet. After the dinner, a ball takes place in the stunning Gold Hall that is covered by 18 million gold mosaic stones. Each day, everyone can experience the same setting, service and cuisine as Nobel Prize winners in the restaurant. Diners can select their meal from any Nobel Prize dinner menu since 1901.

Try something sensational while in Stockholm -- experience the city from above! A guided rooftop walk on the old Parliamentary Building in the Old Town presents a amazing view of Stockholm and, for sure, a memory to tell friends about.

Day 2The Millesgården's Sculpture Park is home to the famous works by Carl Milles. Milles is one of Sweden’s most famous sculptors and Millesgården is Carl and Olga Milles’ artist’s home on the island of Lidingö. But Millesgården is more than a museum; it is also a lovely relaxing park and a beautiful garden with an unparalleled view of Stockholm.

A must for the visitor with an interest in minimalism is the Asplund store. Prominent Swedish designers are displayed here and there is a large selection of high-quality Scandinavian furniture, rugs, lamps and other retail items.

Liljevalchs Art Gallery is a museum of Swedish and international art that opened in 1916. The Blue Gate and its garden, located in conjunction with the museum, is a favorite destination for restaurant and café-goers.

The Woodland Cemetery is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list and it is a place of sublime beauty and poetic architecture that is definitely worth a visit.

For dinner, go to Operakällaren, a classic restaurant and Sweden’s most famous dining room, which is situated in the same building as the Royal Swedish Opera. It has a magnificent setting, with views across the water to the Royal Palace from the terrace bar.

Day 3Take a day to enjoy the shopping in Stockholm. Swedish fashion has met with great success internationally in recent years. Many labels, like Acne, Filippa K, Dagmar, Whyred, Carin Wester, have their own stores in Stockholm, so take the opportunity to discover Swedish fashion in its native environment. Also make sure to visit the flagship H&M store and the NK department store.

Take a day to enjoy the shopping in Stockholm. Swedish fashion has met with great success internationally in recent years. Many labels, like Acne, Dagmar, Whyred, and Carin Wester, have their own stores in Stockholm, so take the opportunity to discover Swedish fashion in its native environment. Also make sure to visit the flagship H&M store and the NK department store. PUB is another department store filled with exciting Swedish fashion among other things. The top floor is designed by Swedish musical artist Nina Persson, lead singer for the rock groups the Cardigans and A Camp.

On Södermalm, and especially in the SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) area, visitors can find charming shopping opportunities. These mainly small, personal boutiques sell trendy contemporary design, vintage clothes or arts and crafts. Many new designer shops, home furnishing stores, galleries and restaurants can also be found here.

The Svenskt Tenn store is a classic interior furnishings boutique on the beautiful shoreline boulevard, Strandvägen. The timeless, amazingly-patterned and brilliantly-colored fabrics and furniture by Swedish-Austrian Josef Frank still cause people to make a pilgrimage to the store on Strandvägen.

Start the evening at the Nordic Light Hotel, in the heart of the city. It has the planet’s first permanent ice bar, made of ice from the world-famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, Lapland. Everything except the liquid in the drinks is made of ice, and the temperature is kept at a constant 23 degrees Fahrenheit.

After the cool drink, set off to the cool, red restaurant Le Rouge in the Old Town. It is like stepping into French fin-de-siecle and there’s no Swedish minimalism at this restaurant.

Day 3Museums & CultureWalking along the Copenhagen canal you’ll come across a sparkling jewel, the Black Diamond. Built as an extension to the Danish Royal Library the building is a marvel in modern and classic design. Close by you’ll find the oldest museum building in Denmark; Thorvaldsens Museum housing the lifeworks of Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen’s.

A little further down the way you’ll find the Old Stock Exchange dating back to 1620. Surrounded by canals, this architectural marvel once housed the Danish Stock Exchange, but today is used for meetings. Don’t miss the big spire – a symbol of the unity between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Make time for coffee or a drink at the new Royal Danish Playhouse near Nyhavn, or take the water taxi across the canal for a guided tour of the New Opera House in all its splendor.

A short train ride north of Copenhagen you’ll find the museum of modern art; Louisiana Museum. An architectural masterpiece with majestic views overlooking the Øresund Sound, it houses art work from the 1940’s to present day.
