Insert the retaining hooks (clips) intothe floor mat eyelets.

Turn the upper knob of each retaininghook (clip) to secure the floor mats inplace.

Automatic High Beam

■ Activating the Automatic High Beam system

Push the lever away from you with the

headlight switch in the or

position.

Press the Automatic High Beamswitch.

The Automatic High Beam indicatorwill come on when the headlights areturned on automatically to indicatethat the system is active.

The Automatic High Beam uses an in-vehicle camera sensor to assess the brightness ofstreetlights, the lights of vehicles ahead etc., and automatically turns the high beam on oroff as necessary.

Pull the lever to the original position.The Automatic High Beam indicatorwill turn off.Push the lever away from you to acti-vate the Automatic High Beam systemagain.

Press the Automatic High Beam switch.The Automatic High Beam indicatorwill turn off and the high beam indica-tor will turn on.Press the switch to activate the Auto-matic High Beam system again.

■ Turning LDA system onPress the LDA switch to turn the LDA sys-tem on.

The LDA indicator illuminates.Press the LDA switch again to turn theLDA system off.When the LDA system is turned on oroff, operation of the LDA system con-tinues in the same condition the nexttime the engine is started.

When driving on roads with white (yellow) lines, this function alerts the driver when thevehicle might depart from its lane.The LDA system recognizes visible white (yellow) lines with the camera sensor on theupper portion of the front windshield.

In vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, the vehicle automatically accelerates anddecelerates to match the speed changes of the preceding vehicle even if the acceleratorpedal is not depressed. In constant speed control mode, the vehicle runs at a fixed speed.Use the dynamic radar cruise control on freeways and highways.

■ Setting the vehicle speed (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)

Press the “ON/OFF” button to activatethe cruise control.

Radar cruise control indicator willcome on and a message will be dis-played on the multi-information dis-play.Press the button again to deactivatethe cruise control.If the “ON/OFF” button is pressedand held for 1.5 seconds or more, thesystem turns on in constant speedcontrol mode.

Accelerate or decelerate, with accel-erator pedal operation, to the desiredvehicle speed (at or above approxi-mately 30 mph [50 km/h]) and pushthe lever down to set the speed.

Cruise control “SET” indicator willcome on.The vehicle speed at the moment thelever is released becomes the setspeed.If the lever is operated while the vehi-cle speed is below approximately 30mph (50 km/h) and a precedingvehicle is present, the set speed willbe adjusted to approximately 30mph (50 km/h).

■Adjusting the set speedTo change the set speed, operate the lever until the desired set speed is displayed.

Increases the speed

Decreases the speedFine adjustment: Momentarily movethe lever in the desired direction.Large adjustment: Hold the lever up ordown to change the speed, and releasewhen the desired speed is reached.

■Changing the vehicle-to-vehicle distance (vehicle-to-vehicle distance con-trol mode)

Pressing the switch changes the vehicle-to-vehicle distance as follows:

ShortThe vehicle-to-vehicle distance is setautomatically to long mode when theengine switch is turned to IGNITIONON mode.If a vehicle is running ahead of you, thepreceding vehicle mark will also be dis-played.

■Resuming follow-up cruising when the vehicle has been stopped by systemcontrol (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)

After the vehicle ahead of you starts off,push the lever up.Your vehicle will also resume follow-upcruising if the accelerator pedal isdepressed after the vehicle ahead of youstarts off.

■ Canceling and resuming the speed control

Pulling the lever toward you cancelsthe speed control.

The speed control is also canceledwhen the brake pedal is depressed.

Pushing the lever up resumes thecruise control and returns vehiclespeed to the set speed.

However, when a vehicle ahead is notdetected, cruise control does notresume when the vehicle speed isapproximately 25 mph (40 km/h) orless.

■ Selecting constant speed control mode

With the cruise control off, press andhold the “ON/OFF” button for 1.5 sec-onds or more.

Immediately after the “ON/OFF”button is pressed, the radar cruisecontrol indicator will come on. After-wards, it switches to the cruise con-trol indicator.Switching to constant speed controlmode is only possible when operatingthe lever with the cruise control off.

Driving Mode Select Switch

Normal mode/Customized modeNormal mode and customized mode are selected by pressing the driving mode selectswitch. Each time the switch is pressed, the driving mode changes between normalmode and customized mode. When customized mode is selected, the “CUSTOMIZE”indicator will be illuminated.

Press the switch to change the driving mode to normal mode when not in normalmode.

• Normal mode Provides an optimal balance of fuel economy, quietness, and dynamic performance.Suitable for city driving.

• Customized mode Allows you to drive with the following functions set to your preferred settings. Customized mode settings can only be changed on the drive mode customizationdisplay of the Remote touch screen.

The driving modes can be selected to suit driving condition.

Comfort modeBy controlling the suspension, riding comfort is further enhanced. Suitable for city driv-ing.When not in comfort mode and the driving mode select switch is turned to the left, the“COMFORT” indicator comes on in the multi-information display.

Eco drive modeHelps the driver accelerate in an eco-friendly manner and improve fuel economythrough moderate throttle characteristics and by controlling the operation of the airconditioning system (heating/cooling).When in comfort mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the left, the“ECO” indicator will come on in the multi-information display.

Sport mode• SPORT S mode

Controls the transmission and engine to provide quick, powerful acceleration. Thismode is suitable for when agile driving response is desired, such as when driving onroads with many curves.When not in SPORT S mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the right,the “SPORT S” indicator will come on in the multi-information display.

• SPORT S+ modeHelps to ensure steering performance and driving stability by simultaneously con-trolling the steering and suspension in addition to the transmission and engine. Suit-able for sportier driving.When in SPORT S mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the right, the“SPORT S+” indicator will come on in the multi-information display.

Intuitive Parking Assist

On/offTo turn the system on, press the switch.The indicator light comes on and thebuzzer sounds to inform the driver thatthe system is operational.

The distance from your vehicle to nearby obstacles when parallel parking or maneuver-ing into a garage is measured by the sensors and communicated via the multi-informa-tion display, the remote touch screen, and a buzzer.Always check the surrounding area when using this system.

■Easy access modeYou can select this mode for easy accessand easy loading of the vehicle.

If the engine switch is turned off withinapproximately 30 seconds after thevehicle is stopped while easy accessmode is on, the vehicle height is low-ered automatically.

Easy access mode is available if the follow-ing conditions have been met:● The vehicle height mode is in normal

mode.● The vehicle is stopped on a flat surface.● The shift lever is in P.● The side doors and back door are not

opened after the vehicle is stopped.The following method will cancel the vehi-cle lowering operation and raise the vehicleagain:● Press the height control OFF switch.● Push the height select switch to “∧”.

The 4-Wheel AHC adjusts the vehicle height in accordance with driving conditions.There are 3 selectable modes, “HI” (high), “N” (normal), and “LO” (low).

Four-wheel drive control switch

H4 (high speed position)Normal driving on all types of roads.

L4 (low speed position)Driving requiring maximum powerand traction such as climbing ordescending steep hills, off-road driv-ing, and hard pulling in sand or mud,etc.The low speed four-wheel drive indi-cator will come on.

Center differential lock/unlock switchLock the center differential when your vehi-cle’s wheels get stuck in a ditch or when youare driving on a slippy or bumpy surface.

The center differential lock indicatorwill come on.Unlock the center differential after thewheels have been freed, or after mov-ing to a flat, non-slippery surface.To unlock the center differential, pushthe switch again.

Use the four-wheel drive control switch and center differential lock/unlock switch toselect the following transfer and center differential modes.

■ Turn Assist function

This function assists cornering performance in accordance with steering operation whendriving through a tight corner. It maintains vehicle speed while driving and reduces the num-ber of turns needed to navigate a corner that requires turning the wheel in the oppositedirection.

Press the Turn Assist switch while CrawlControl is operating.

Turn Assist indicator will come on.To turn the system off, press the switchagain.

The Multi-terrain Monitor helps the driver to check the vehicle surroundings. It assists indetermining the conditions around the driver in a variety of situations, such as when judgingconditions during off-road driving or checking for obstacles when parking.

Press and release the remote control trans-mitter button at 2 second intervals, repeat-

edly, until the HomeLink® indicator lightchanges from slowly flashing (orange) torapidly flashing (green) (rolling code) orcontinuously lit (green) (fixed code).

Test the HomeLink® operation by pressing the newly programmed button and observ-ing the indicator light:

● Indicator light illuminates: Programming of a fixed code device has completed. The

garage door or other device should operate when a HomeLink® button is pressed andreleased.

● Indicator light flashes rapidly: The garage door opener motor or other device isequipped with a rolling code. To complete programming, firmly press and hold the

HomeLink® button for 2 seconds then release it.● If the garage door or other device does not operate, proceed to “Programming a rolling

code system”.

Repeat the steps above to program another device for any of the remaining Home-

Link® buttons.

■Starting the engine

Ensure that the shift lever is in P anddepress the brake pedal.

Touch the Lexus emblem side of theelectronic key to the engine switch.When the electronic key is detected, abuzzer sounds and the engine switchwill turn to IGNITION ON mode.When the smart access system withpush-button start is deactivated in cus-tomization setting, the engine switchwill turn to ACCESSORY mode.

Firmly depress the brake pedal and

check that is shown on the

multi-information display.

Press the engine switch.In the event that the engine still cannot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.

If the engine does not start
