Attention

The lift log card does identify regular consistent service visits, it is dated and signed, however, with the exception of the word 'service' and month for which the service was undertaken, it does not identify the elements of maintenance being completed. The lift log card should be completed to allow a transparent view of what works have been completed and when. Within the lift machine room there are no copies of any SAFed/LG certification or evidence of any having been conducted. Should annual LG inspections form part of the service contract, copies of the certificates must be provided or the examinations undertaken.

Pit

Question  Response  Details

Condition General maintenance condition survey for the installation based upon a visual inspection

PT1. Condition of the pit (Cleanliness/dryness):

Satisfactory

It is apparent that maintenance within the lift pit is being undertaken. D2E would recommend that the following be completed during future PPM: • The lift pit be cleared of the very light dirt that accumulates between visits. • The oil soak up placed neatly around the oil drip trays be cleaned up and suitably removed from site (the lift service provide should consider the installation of soak up mats below the drip trays to capture any leakages/overflows between lift pit maintenance visits). The lift pit is generally in a satisfactory condition.

PT2. General condition of buffers (e.g. Poly type UV degradation or hydraulic oil levels):

Satisfactory

PT3. Drip trays cleanliness:

Satisfactory

The lift pit oil drip trays are half full. These should be monitored and emptied on a regular basis. The condition of the lift pit would suggest that the Service Engineer does regularly monitor these and act accordingly.

PT4. Limit switch roller condition:  Satisfactory

PT5. Condition of compensation chains/ropes:

Not Applicable

PT6. Clearance under counterweight:

Attention

Due to design of the counterweight screen, D2E were unable to inspect the counterweight clearance and it is requested that the lift service provide checks all clearances and over travels and records then accordingly within the lift log card.
