Monitoring and Sustainability
Uses Logical Framework as a tool for Project Monitoring
Trying
To develop a participatory monitoring system
To develop tools for measuring improvement of the organisational
capacity of local organisations and local governments
How Sustainable?
Firstly, the local governments will be able to respond to disasters effectively
and efficiently after the completion of the project because they will be
equipped with trained staff and a well organised contingency plan.
Secondly, the community, becoming familiar with the government contingency
plan, will have learned what to do and where to go should a disaster hit their
area. In short, the damage caused by the disasters will be reduced due to the
prompt and appropriate actions taken by both the local government and by the
community.
