The Company has been incorporated under the Companies Ordinance (Cap.212) on 5th of November 1991, and the company is limited. Its offices are located at Ground Floor - T ancot House, Pamba Road around Posta Mpya in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

KAS FREIGHT LTD. is a Tanzanian firm principally involved in Air Freight, Clearing & Forwarding (Import and export), Logistics and port operations for cargo destined to within Tanzania, East, Southern and Central Africa. The Company provides a broad range of services in Air Freight, Clearing & Forwarding (Import & export), Logistics and port operations, Ware-house/Storage, Transport and many more.

Capacity, Technical Support & Legal Status

Capacity and technical support:

The company personnel are provided with transport – motor cycles for the port operations and motor vehicles for the management team - to enable it to perform as per clients expectations.

The company has the capability to offer credit facilities to a certain agreed amount so as to ease the burden from the esteemed client.

KAS FREIGHT LTD has a clean record with all the Shipping lines Agents having established close links with the key employees so as to assist whenever necessary.

KAS FREIGHT LTD has the ability to clear any consignment being Local or Transit within 14 working days. This will entirely depend on the early handing Over of all the necessary documents as per indicated in our remarks/additional Information here-below.

Additional Information / Remarks

Terms of payment All Duty/VAT charges – if any – are payable in full and in advance by the client directly. Our invoice for Freight, Handling, Clearing and local transportation is payable 14 days upon cargo arrival at destination and presentation of our invoice.

Invoicing In US Dollars, invoices for all domestic services rendered in Tanzania – depending on the billing to KAS FREIGHT LTD. These invoices will be subject to VAT at the prevailing rates to KAS FREIGHT LTD defined account.

Insurance All consignments are handled, transported and stored at owner’s risk. We therefore strongly recommend that you have comprehensive transport insurance covered from source to destination in Tanzania.

Documentation Kindly note the full set of all required Documents must be handed over to KAS FREIGHT LTD 7 working days prior to vessel arrival. Delay in submitting the full set of correct and fully endorsed documents might incur extra charges in the port and with the shipping line, which shall be for the consignee’s account. With each consignment please issue Authority Letter to KAS FREIGHT LTD and for the first consignment we shall require a copy of your TIN certificate.
