Impact 5k District Initiative In an effort to create smarter pathways for student access to college – Impact has created the 5k District Initiative. This
initiative will enhance student achievement and preparation for college. Our goal for this school year is to reach 5,000
students in seven Chicago suburban school districts and twenty- five Chicago Public High Schools. We are making this
resource available to the following districts: 204, 205, 209, 215, 218, 227 and 228.
At a college fair, students receive a wealth of information. But what do they do with it? Impact College Readiness
Representatives visit local high schools primarily before a college fair to help students create a strategy or game plan for
success. The information shared with students include insight into the college selection, admissions and financial aid
process. Information is presented to students during the school day.
Each high school student receives:
Access to a broader set of educational opportunities
College preparatory resources
Information on the college decision making process
Information on the admissions and financial aid process
Free access to all 2015-2016 Impact Events
The Impact 5k District Initiative was made possible by the generous support of local businesses. www.impactccrn.com
